The agent called me and informed me about what happened. I instructed the agent what to do next. With Landon out of the club, we needed him clean to finish gathering information to go after Rafe. The asshole was smart, but I was smarter.
I walked into headquarters, making my way to Papá's office. He was signing off on some cases as a woman left with the files.
"Well," Papá asked.
"The agent is taking Landon to the beach house. It's secluded to help him detox and get clean. What do we tell Vincent and Lacey?" I questioned.
"Nothing at the moment. Wait until Landon detoxes, then we'll inform both about the situation. We need Landon's testimony," Papá said.
"You know when Vincent finds out it will piss him off, not to mention my wife and mother-in-law," I reminded Papá.
"Good thing, you will deal with everyone," Papá chuckled.
"That's not funny," I grumbled. Vincent will kill us when he finds out about Landon.

LandonI woke and felt in a fog. Everything was blurry as I worked to focus, seeing two people in front of a dresser. After a few minutes, I focused on seeing Asher and Tasha leaning into the furniture. I looked around to find myself at the beach house.
I went to move and found my wrists and ankles cuffed to the bedposts. I yanked on the handcuffs.
"What the fuck is this?" I snapped, trying to get lost.
"It's for your good," Asher said, pissing me off.
"Let me go!" I barked.
"Not until you detox," Asher told me.
"Detox? I don't need to detox. I need to go home," I said.
"Landon, you're hooked on drugs. I found the coke and other shit you're taking," Asher told me.
"I got a handle on it," I remarked.
Asher walked over to me and grabbed my face. "Look at me; you're fucking strung out. You barely eat; if you aren't popping pills to sleep, you're talking shit to keep you up for days at a time," Asher said, his face mere inches from me.
I glared at Asher as he released my face. I yanked on the handcuffs, trying to break the bedposts. I swear once I get out of these, I will kill Asher. I thrashed in the bed as Asher and Tasha watched me. I didn't have a problem. Why were they doing this to me?
*******
AsherI watched Landon yank on the handcuffs, trying to get loose. We couldn't put him in rehab because Rafe would find out. We needed to get the drugs out of his system and get Landon out of business.
I made the mistake of getting into the business and seeing what happens to a lot of dancers. It's a matter of time before the police identify your body. Landon and I became close, and I refuse to lose my best friend to this life. When I got him out, I was leaving the business. It's not worth it anymore. I stash enough cash to go to school.
I left Tasha to watch Landon and went to the club. I came up with a plan to explain Landon's absence. Tasha and I would trade off, watching him so that Rafe didn't suspect anything.
I walked into the club, and Candace met me.
"Where's that, prick?" Candace snapped.
"Do you mean Landon? The doctor diagnosed him with mono, which means no work for three weeks," I told Candace.
