Lily was eagerly bouncing in the seat between her parents as they watched the magician do his act. It was Lily's idea to go and though her parents weren't impressed they appeased her because they wanted to spend time with her.
"Daniel Fountain ladies and gentlemen one of the greatest performers of all time with his own television show, and his assistant the lovely Rory Matthews."
"Didn't you just love it?" Lily cheers as they walk out of the theatre.
Out in the lobby, they encounter numerous acts, Lily was walking ahead of them and Stevie and Lindsey were holding hands when a spotlight sprung on them. Lily stopped and her hands went to her mouth.
"What a handsome couple we have here, what are your names?" A woman asks holding a mic up to them.
"Um, Stephanie Buckingham." Stevie starts.
"Lindsey Buckingham."
"Any personal object off of either of you." The woman repeats something a man in the shadows says.
Stevie nudges him. " All I've got is my wallet."
She just sighs and digs through her giant brown leather purse before pulling out numerous things and handing them to Lindsey until she pulls out a hair clip.
"You'll never get that back," Lindsey mutters to her
"Mr. Patelle, I have an object that comes from Mrs. Buckingham." She says.
"I can't see it clearly." He yells.
"I will close my eyes and concentrate on the item, you guys too" The woman states.
"He'll never get it," Lindsey shakes his head closing his eyes as Stevie giggles and closes her eyes, laying her head on his shoulder.
"Wait it's coming through, it's looking for hair...It's a hair clip." He cheers.
"Oh, that was great!" Stevie cheers.
"Thank you guys for bringing me." Lily grins as they're retrieving their coats from the courtroom.
"I will say I was skeptical at first but I had so much fun. Thanks for suggesting it sweet girl." Stevie hugs her.
It was then that the wall beside them opened up. "Mr. Buckingham, Mr. Fountain would like to see you."
"Yeah?" He asks.
"Come this way please." The man says. Lindsey just nods and places both of his hands on the small of Stevie's back but the upper part of Lily's back.
They are led to a room and as they walk in they see the assistant Rory, on the floor in a puddle of blood. The magician just looks up at them with a sad look in his eyes.
"Well, we enjoyed your show." Lindsey sighs.

The next day, Lindsey makes his way back to the venue and decides to have a look around. He's met by Lieutenant Scott and they make small talk before they both go back to examining the room.
"Have you ever seen one of these shows?" Lindsey asks.
"No, always wanted to but never took the time." Lieutenant Scott says.
"It's a club you have to be a member but Lily got an invitation from the school they came and did a performance she snatched up three of the free tickets they were offering and she took us. It was fun." Lindsey says.
"I know. My contacts with the place have been mainly professional."
"What do you mean?"
"A string of burglaries of members homes."
