"Lindsey, honey are you in there?" Stevie knocks on the door waking him from a deep sleep.

"Yeah, yeah...I was just resting my eyes for a moment I didn't want to drive home half asleep." He shakes calls as she opens the door.

They got back around four Saturday night and she took a quick trip to urgent care, unbeknownst to Lindsey, because she wanted to make sure everything was okay with the baby after what they went through. From there she collected the kids and when it hit around midnight and the kids were already asleep she got worried so she headed to his office.

"You know, I was thinking..." She sighs climbing onto the couch with him. Both laying down, Lindsey covering them with the blanket.

"About the case?" He asks holding her against him tightly.

"Yeah, I wish we could've found Ashley. Do you think we should ask for a postponement."

"No, it'll just drag it out. I say get it over with. At least they're giving us time off in the next couple weeks to recover from this...Steph, we were drugged and kidnapped." Lindsey states.

When their bosses found out what had happened they all agreed that a few days off would be good for the Buckingham's.

"So you want to go ahead?" Stevie asks running her fingers up and down his chest.

"I do want to go ahead." He nods.

"Why, have you found out about something?" Stevie questions.

"I might have." He shrugs.

"Well, you certainly have a lot of opportunities. Your client could have done it, I mean her husband was having an affair and the gun was in her hand."  Stevie states.

"Yeah...the gun." She can feel Lindsey roll his eyes.

"Or it could've been either of those guys who work for Caslunda, or Caslunda himself." Stevie lists.

"Yeah." Lindsey nods.

"I mean he certainly had a motive, his girlfriend was cheating on him with Ilene's husband, but don't get me wrong. I still think Ilene did it." Stevie points at him.

"You know when I...ugh, uncover something that might be important, a clue or some evidence or something. The first thing I want to do is tell you about it." Lindsey sighs.

"It is?" Stevie peers up at him.

"Sometimes,"

"Oh, but you can't do that." Stevie shakes her head.

"Ethics and all...it's a strange life we lead, isn't it. Sometimes we're together and sometimes we're poles apart, but when we do get to work together it is quite nice." Lindsey rubs her back.

"Yeah, like trudging up those hills. I have never been so hungry, so dusty, or so tired and lost in my whole life." She laughs.

"I'll certainly never forget it." Lindsey smiles.

"I had the time of my life." Stevie kisses him sweetly and slightly passionately and Lindsey is suddenly filled with a burst of energy.

"Let's go home." Lindsey grins when she pulls away, causing a laugh to bubble out of his chest as her husband practically runs out of the office.

In court the following Monday, Stevie is slightly excited they've been given two weeks of paid leave and she was just ready to spend time with her husband and children, and though she felt like puking she had to be at work so in her mug instead of water or coffee it was ginger ale.
