mind palace

(yn)'s p.o.v.

i wake up in an infinite room.
just a white space, without a beginning or an ending.
i have the same black dress on.
but now i have white wings with it.
'if i'm here, then Vic's here to.' i say.
i start walking to, now nowhere actually, sinds there is no beginning or ending.
i look around and this place reminds me of something.
i walk a little further into the space when i see a door.

'that's it, it's the mind palace.' i open the door and look which memory it is.
but i look confused when i don't remember that memory at all.
that's because it's not a memory.
it's the present, at superhero mansion.
the aftermath of the fight.
'NO (yn), VIC!!!' Febe yells and she runs to our ashes.
the two other kids follow her.
they kneel down besides our ashes and cry ugly tears.
the superheroes are crying to, Sarah is on the verch of breaking down.

'please?' Zita says.
'come back please.' i try to walk through the door, but a forcefield is preventing me from doing so.
then i hear a voice.
'(YN)?!' i immediatly recognise the voice as Vic's.
'VIC!!' i close the door and run to him.
he is also wearing his white suit, and also has his black wings.
i embrace him and he puts his arms around my waist.
'what is this place?' he asks.
'it's a kind of mind palace i think.' i say.

'you are wrong.' we hear a voice say.
we turn around to see Daminet standing.
he's wearing a blood red suit and also has blood red wings.
our claws and fangs appear and we growl.
'no reason to be violent, we are already dead.' he says calm.
'dead?' i say.
'what do you mean dead, what is this place?!' i ask.
'yes dead, and this place, is the afterlife.' he says as he gestures to, well nowhere.

'you come to this place, to see what the aftermath of your dead is, and when you're done seeing it, you'll go to the underworld.' he says.
'why are you so calm all of a sudden?' Vic asks.
'well i'm already dead, so there is nothing to fight for anymore.' he looks around.
'look' he says 'i never wanted to do the experiments, cause i knew how much they hurt.' he starts.

'but your mom, she always wanted you to be powerful, so you could eventually take over the organisation.
she was the love of my life, so when she died, i felt obligated to fulfill her last wish.' he says.
we look shocked at him.
'how did she die.' i ask and i take Vic's hand in mine.
'she wanted to show you guys that both your parents were very powerful, so she also tried the experiments, but they worked differently and it ended up with her killed.' he has tears in his eyes.

he sighes and looks around.
'you kids don't belong here, you have a life to live, and sinds i took away the life you already had, i think you should go back.' he says.
'how?!' Vic asks.
'you just need to find the door.' he says.
'what are you going to do?' i ask.
'i already lost everything, my wife, my kids, the organisation, my life ended the second she died, so my time has come.' he says.

'i'm not saying that what you did was right, but i have a lot of respect that you tried to fulfil moms last wish.' i say.
'give her our greetings when yoy see her.' Vic says.
'i will, now i would start looking for that door, cause Amanda Waller is coming to the scene, and she has a history of rubbing people the wrong way.' he gestures to the door and we see our friends arguing with a woman.
all the three kids' eyes were glowing and their hands had auras surrounding them.

'we need to go now.' Vic takes my hand.
but i rip it away and do something i never thought i'd do.
i run to my dad and hug him one last time.
'even though you were the shittiest dad ever, i'm gonna miss you.' Vic hugs him to.
we pull away and he smiles.
'i am proud to call myself your father, now go before those kids do something stupid.' he says.
we start running and running and his siluet becomes smaller and smaller.

i don't know how long we've been running but finally, in the distance,we see a door appear.
we run faster to reach the door.
'common!' my silver auras appear and Vic's black ones too.
now that we have evolved into our full form, it won't be that hard to break the door.
our auras hit the door and immediately cracks appear.
my eyes are glowing silver and Vic's are black.
the door cracks further and further until it breaks.

i look around and we are in the woods of the mansion.
i hear yelling.
'we need to go now.' i say and we start to run.
not even noticing that we were still in the suit and the dress.
and our wings were still out.
when we're on the edge of the woods, i can see that Febe is on the breech of hitting Amanda Waller.
'STOP!!!' i yell in a demonic voice.
everyone looks at us.
when the three kids see us, they immediately run to us and hug us.
'never do that again.' Stan says.

'we won't.' we both say in unision.
when we pull back from the hug, i see mrs. Waller walking over to us.
'i'm Amanda Waller from ARGUS and i will need to.' 'AMANDA!!!' Oliver yells.
she looks at him dumbfounded.
'not now, they need to rest first, and even then, if you want to talk to them, you'll talk to us first.' he says.
'fine, let's go inside then.' she walks to the mansion.
i look at all the superheroes in front of me and without thinking i run to them and give them a hug.
Vic does the same thing.
even if ARGUS takes us, maybe we finally found our place in the world.

i know that (yn) and Vic are really forgiving
but i had to give them a happy ending
even though it's not the end
3-4 mire chapters and then we're done
