Champion's Heart: Leon x Reader Pokemon

Chapter One

The world of Pokemon, where you could become anything with your Pokemon partners. The world was peaceful, for the most part.

You spent most of your life in the Kalos region with your mother, your Eevee, and Electrike. However, this was going to change because this was the day you were going to move. You were moving to the Galar region. You were going to spend a year living with your father, while your mother stayed back in Kalos.

You were a bit disappointed when you heard the news since you planned on challenging gyms and eventually the champion Diantha, but there was a league in Galar you could compete in. However, you despised the champion Leon. He constantly was on television, especially when his relationship with Diantha was brought into public.

From what you could see, he was arrogant, cocky, and a jerk. He seemed to only care about himself. During the interviews about his family and Diantha, all he could do was talk about himself and his undefeated career. You felt the need to beat Leon in the Galar league.

You were going to have to work your way up, however. Your Eevee was very young and definitely not ready to evolve. She was the newest addition to your team of two.

Your best friend was your Electrike. The small canine was adorable and had an electric personality. It also had the megastone, Manectite. It was given to you as a present by your father before he left to move to Galar before yourself and your mother. It was worn as a little, baby blue collar on Electrike's neck. You wore a matching, thin, golden chained necklace with the mega stone dangling in the middle. Your bond with Electrike was definitely strong enough to make this mega stone work when Electrike evolved.

Currently, you were sitting in an airplane, with your two Pokemons' luxury balls on your lap. The plane had just landed and you were waiting to get off of the plane.

For some reason, there was a huge commotion at the front of the plane. You wondered what could possibly be preventing people from exiting the plane. Your thoughts were answered when a voice spoke above the commotion.

"Hey, hey! It's me, Champion Leon, back from the Kalos region!" shouted Leon, standing in front of the economy class. "It must feel nice to know you flew with the Galar Champion."

As awful as it sounded, people still cheered around you, while you rolled your eyes. Leon took notice of you, the only person not grovelling in front of him.

"You! Miss, have you ever met a region champion before?" Leon questioned, stepping towards your seat.

You cursed yourself for booking a seat at the front.

"No, and I never asked to," you scowled snottily, not in the mood.

Leon looked slightly taken aback. "Everyone wants to meet a champion! Especially me, considering that I'm the Leon of Galar!"

More cheering. You glowered at him.

"I'm just trying to get off the plane," you huffed, standing up and gathering your things, before pushing past him.

The look on his face was priceless. Leon's jaw hung and his eyes were wide. The fans on the plane didn't notice his shock and asked him for autographs. You took this as your chance to escape. You ran off of the plane, looking to meet up with your father and leave as fast as possible.

Soon enough, you saw your father waiting in the arrivals area, looking confused as he searched for you. You ran to him, hugging him.

"Dad, it's been so long!" you exclaimed, backing away.

"Hey there, pumpkin! How was the flight?" your father asked, smiling brightly.

"It was smooth, but I had to deal with the stupid 'Champion of Galar'," you huffed, mimicking Leon's obnoxious tone.

"Aw, he's not that bad," your father said. "He's a genuinely nice guy once you get past the champion part."

You rolled your eyes, moving on from the subject since you were so happy to finally see your father and head to your home for the next year.

"How was your final year of school?" your dad asked as he guided you to his car.

"It went pretty well, I got good grades and I have an offer for college once this year here is done," you replied.

Your father and you had plenty of conversation during the car ride to your new home.

Soon enough, you passed a sign that read "Postwick". You learned this was the town you were going to live in. You saw many small houses and then pulled into the driveway of a similar house.

You brought your stuff inside and set up your room. You set down your two Poke-balls onto the bed. Electrike's ball twitched, as if she was asking for you to let her out. You chuckled and pressed the buttons of both Poke-balls.

Your Electrike and Eevee popped out, letting out their signature cry. Instantly, they looked around your room in curiosity.

You heard a knock from the front door, along with your dad opening the door.

"(y/n)! Come downstairs! There's two people I'd like you to meet," your dad called.

You walked to the front and couldn't believe what you saw. It was him.

Thanks for getting through the first chapter of my new story! I really hope you enjoyed it. I'm sorry the first chapter is pretty bland/rushed. First chapters are difficult to write and I just wanted to set up the story/backstory.
