Simply said, you didn't think you would get much sleep that night. You were furious. At Leon for lying to you all this time, pretending to maintain a false relationship before your eyes, causing you inner turmoil as you dealt with your forbidden feelings.

Most of all, you were angry with yourself. You were angry you believed and trusted Leon. You were angry you caught feelings for the liar. Deep down, you knew you shouldn't be this angry, but you despised people lying to you. Hop had gone back inside his tent after dropping this news and you heard faint snoring after awhile.

You decided to go into your tent and attempt to fall asleep. Your stay in Stow-on-Side wouldn't be pleasant if you were tired and miserable. After tossing and turning for awhile, you fell into a dreamless sleep.

---

The next morning was uneventful. You held small talk with Hop as you packed up your camp to finish your journey to the next city. Unfortunately, you would have to deal with Leon. You had a plan to confront him for his lying.

Hop could sense your terrible mood during your journey, but didn't pry as to why you were acting like this. After a few hours of awkward conversations and silence, you made it to Stow-on-Side. Hop was beaming and turned to you enthusiastically.

"You know what getting here means!" Hop exclaimed. "It's time for our battle!"

You smiled softly. This would take your mind off of your anger. "Alright, let's go."

You weren't quite into the city yet, so you were allowed to battle. You and Hop walked a few meters apart, Poke-balls in hand. He currently had four Pokemon, much to your delight. More of a challenge this time! You were going to claim your first win against Hop today.

Hop sent out a Cramorant. That was a bad choice, considering it was a Flying and Water-type Pokemon and most of your Pokemon were Electric. You sent out Yamper, since you haven't trained with it in a long time.

"Yamper, use Spark!" you shouted, taking the first move.

Before the Cramorant could react, Yamper slammed into it with full electrical force. Hop's Cramorant seemed to take a lot of damage from this attack.

"Fury Attack!" Hop shouted from across the field.

Cramorant took to the skies and zoomed down at Yamper, raking its claws across Yamper's body multiple times. You shouted for Yamper, hoping that it would be okay. When the attack finally ended, Yamper shook itself and prepared to retaliate.

Quickly, you shouted your next order. "Bite!"

You couldn't overuse the same Electric-type moves against your opponent or Yamper would run out of energy faster than it would if you had diversity in your strategy. Yamper leaped forward, its light weight making it quicker and more efficient. Yamper's jaws latched onto the Cramorant's neck and clamped down hard. The Cramorant squirmed as it tried to throw Yamper off of it.

Your hand closed into a fist as the Cramorant fell over, blacked out. "Yeah, Yamper! Who's a good boy?" Yamper ran over to you in excitement, its tongue lolling out of its mouth as it panted in anticipation.

You bent over and scratched it behind its ears. Then, white light enveloped Yamper. You grinned because a lot of your Pokemon have been evolving lately. This was the part of the journey most Pokemon began to evolve in any Gym Challenge for any region. After the white light of evolution faded, before you stood a larger, neon yellow hound named Bolthund. Hop cheered from across the battlefield, happy that you reached another milestone.

"Nice use of type advantages," Hop complimented. "It's time for my next partner!"

On cue, a Toxel sprang from his second Poke-ball. So you both had caught the same Pokemon. You smirked, knowing your Toxel was better. However, you weren't sure if you should use it in battle just yet.
