Lu 19:10 For the son of man is come to seek and to save which was lost.
(KJV)
One of the amazing things I see about Jesus Is how He managed to stay in the will of God. Despite being a healer, a demon-crushing servant of God, His main purpose for coming to Earth was for man to be saved. At the heartbeat of Jesus lies soul winning. He never left a place without touching the heart of man. Much as He healed people, He never left a place without giving people the chance to be saved.
If Jesus' main priority was education, I am sure we would have had quite a number of educational facilities built by Jesus Himself. Not that being educated isnt important, it is. Having all the degrees the world offers will never get man to heaven. Having the nicest cars and a high-paying job too won't grant us access to Heaven. Regardless of our desires and dreams, salvation still remains the most important things that could happen to a person. Because of salvation, man will inherit the kingdom of God.
The bible says, the son of man came to seek that which was lost. He is an amazing savior and because He came, a lot will be saved. We should keep in mind that salvation doesn't happen unless somebody preaches the gospel of salvation. Without the preaching of the word, none would be saved.
The story of Jesus dying g on the cross doesn't seem as exciting as preaching about prosperity and all kinds of miracles. It seems a little too drab a topic to ponder upon. Its a little unfortunate to want to substitute salvation for something else. The word of God is what saves a man.
Ro 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for It is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believed; to the jew first, and also to the Greek.
(KJV)
Neglecting the preaching of salvation shows how ashamed we are. The gospel is the true power of God unto salvation. When we preach the gospel of salvation, God promises to release a power upon the people that we preach to. Its not up to us to have someone change. All we have to do is to preach and the more that we do, the more power is released over everyone that is spoken to.
The true gospel of salvation is that of seeking the lost and winning everybody at all costs. Think about all the things that were done for you. Must we give less than we received? How else will people know God if no one tells them? What hope is there for someone that hasn't had the opportunity that you had of hearing the true gospel of salvation?
The hope that we have is based on the blood that was shed. We are hopeful and not just hopeful but inheritors of the kingdom of God. The bible Is true to call It an inheritance. None deserves Heaven, except Jesus Christ. I don't know what it is that we did to deserve the love and mercy Jesus has shown. If we are being truly honest, there's really nothing we have done. If there's anything we have seen in the Bible is that salvation carries a tremendous power!
What hope is there for someone living in sin? Doing unspeakable things that they shouldn't be indulging in. What hope is there for a sister that is having relentless sex and tied to a toxic relationship? Why hope if not the gospel of salvation?
