My pastors have had to teach me why I needed to pray and study my bible every day. Had I not been taught, I wouldn't be as enthusiastic about prayer as I am. Such kind of things only happen when we have people that teach us the word of God. We have to be willing enough to spend some time with people that need salvation. We need to spend some time praying for those that need saving.
Ga 4:19 ¶ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
(KJV)
Paul shares an important revelation. For the Galatians to become spiritual believers, Paul had to spend some time travailing in prayer. Some versions say, laboring in prayer. Prayer is work. It is not so easy to pray, if it were, everybody would be praying. Prayer is what changes people. All through the Bible, we see how many things changed when a person decided to speak to God about a certain subject.
Much as personal prayers are important, a more selfless prayer would be a prayer for those that need to be saved.
Ro 10:1 ¶ Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
(KJV)
There is nothing more selfless than a prayer for others. How often do we actually pray for other people? It's not exactly easy to include everyone in our prayer lives. Israel probably didn't asked to be saved nor did they ask Paul to pray for them. Some things are just done because we might be in a position where we know better.
NB: Thank you for the great support. I cannot thank you enough!
