Jesus came to save us

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

(KJV)

Sometimes we forget that Jesus came to save us. It might seem natural for man to receive help. I have learned that it isn't. Each time we are offered help, in our pride, we resist the helper. Being helped doesn't make us inferior to the one that's helping us. If we ever accept help, which we should, it lightens the burden. The burden of our sin was placed on one man. If there is a relationship we should utilize, it's the relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus died for all of us and rose for all of mankind. All of us in our different brands. In our different cultures. In our different nationalities. He died for all.

In many casual relationships, what is interpreted as love is merely just lust. There is no single person that will ever love us like Jesus does. I know sometimes we miss the revelation because of religion. The love of God transcends religious barriers. I am not against relationships, relationships are good even the intimate ones. Not until we build a relationship with Christ, we won't have any confidence in building other relationships.

One of the reasons I dated many girls at a time was my fear of being vulnerable to one person and my fear of possibly being cheated on, even though I cheated on all the girls I dated.

1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

(KJV)

The love of Christ towards us is pure. It's ridden of lust and any evil traits. Being in a relationship with Christ safeguards our hearts from all kinds of painful and toxic relationships and even if by unfortunate circumstances, we do get into toxic relationships, the love of Christ casts out all kinds of fear and builds us up in love.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

(KJV)

Anything that stems off from fear is not godly. Dating in fear of being alone in the future makes you insecure and vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. We meet God in the atmosphere of love and not of fear. A relationship with Christ helps us to heal from all kinds of distorted views of what a relationship should look like.

Fear opens up many doors from which the enemy can enter. Love shuts the enemy out! When we walk in love, we emulate Jesus Christ. Even in his rebukes, he did out of love. Everything Jesus did was an expression of how much he loves us.

1Jo 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

(KJV

How do we know of the love of God? Through his son Jesus Christ. God doesn't just show love but he is love. To know God is to know how to walk in love. Don't be afraid to know Jesus Christ. Being in a relationship with him guarantees fullness of love in ways you'd never how to describe. Jesus and God are one and if you are in Christ, you dwell in the highest kind of love. Agape love. A love that is selfless and sacrificial to the extent of shedding pure blood. Who else could ever love you like Jesus does?
