Joshua 1:9 King James Version (KJV)

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua reached a point where he had to step up whether or not he wanted to. Moses was gone and the Israelites needed him more than they ever did. It was now Joshua's tenure. His time had come. Whatever it is he was going to do, depended on what He had learned while assisting his predecessor and on his willingness to yield to the voice of God.

There is nothing greater than knowing that God is with us in all the places of our lives, however messy. God wants all of us and wants to be a part of everything that involves our lives. God wants to be a part of your relationships as much as you want your partner's activeness in it. When we substitute God's time for other activities, we begin to idolize that thing, even a relationship.

Nothing should make us drift away from the presence of God. We should rather want to draw closer to Him, in everything we do.

My relationship with the beautiful young lady was cut-off. Usually, I broke off relationships, but this time around, I was dumped and for the first time, I felt what others experienced though me. I hurt so much that the experience birthed my writing hobby. I still do not know what it is I did that ended my relationship, but I'm so grateful that she dumped me.

I believe it was necessary for me to have to experience it. Had I not, I am not sure I would have started writing. Before I met her, I never wrote, I was a rapper with songs that were never recorded. Everything we go through carries significance. What we encounter helps us to reach a certain point and for me, it birthed in a writing career and through the demise of my relationship, I learned to invest more in spending quality time with God.

God knows how to pick us up when we fall and how to help us continue to walk in His presence. We need to prepare for the longest fight we'll evrer have to  embark on if we are to remain strong Christians. Once we know that the devil's main objective is to get us to stop fellowshipping with one another, we would have assumed a certain amount of awareness. Hell was created for the devil and his cohorts, heaven was made for you and me.
