Damon's P.O.V

"Blaze, I know we're not the best of friends, but there's something I have to share with you." Will says the second we walk through the door of our suite, bending down to intercept the beeline Blaze was trying to make to me.

He didn't seem the happiest to have his path to me obstructed and by someone, he didn't particularly like in the first place. While Will picks Blaze up to bring the two to eye level he lets his ears drop like his excitement as he stared blankly at my mate.

"I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight if I didn't tell you that your owner, Damon, was with another bunny today." Will finishes, his tone nothing but serious as Blaze hung limply in his hands. "I thought it was only right to tell you, you're not the only bunny in his life."

I can't help the snort that escapes me as I push off the door to approach him, stopping directly beside him, I take Blaze from him and give him a few scratches, focusing on the spots that made his leg kick out with pleasure.

"You're not the only one he touches like that," Will interjects though through a fit of laughter I doubted he could help. "You're not the only one." He wheezes out making me laugh alongside him as I give him a nudge.

"How are you older than me?" I question as I watch Will run over to less than enthusiatic Sassy who lay patiently in her bed as if knowing her master would come to her instead of the other way around.

Will ignores me, choosing instead to focus all of his attention on Sassy, who was rolling off to expose her stomach for a rub down that Will delivered without question. I watched as he made the most ridiculous noises while playing with her, clearly overjoyed to have some time with her again.

I make a mental note to try and get him to come out with me more, so it wouldn't be just me walking Sassy around the pack in the morning and late at night. Will wasn't comfortable just yet with the whole pack, but it'd only happen if he spent some time in it that wasn't in the suite or at my parents' house.

Leaving Will to fawn over his demon dog, I make my way to the kitchen with Blaze in my arms, the sleeve of my shirt already lodged in his mouth.

"I'm going to have to buy clothes for just you," I whisper to him, letting him nuzzle me a bit before placing him down to fill the kettle with some water. I let my mind recap the day as I reach into the cupboards for a mug and some hot chocolate mix.

It was a good day overall, things may have taken a shit turn for a bit, but we all bounced back and ended the day together better than I thought possible at this stage. There were pending issues to iron out with not only the family but the pack too, and I knew I had to deal with it eventually, but it was nice spending an afternoon with the people loved without having to think or face any of that just yet.

Things were just like old times, with everyone piled up in the TV room to watch a few films, starting with some movie on Netflix Josey was insisted we all watched. Like always, Levi was curled up with Peter on their couch with the massive, blue blanket that was covered with anchored draped over them, my dads were wrapped up in one another's arms, Hagen had taken up some weird position in his beanbag, Josey was in her armchair and I was on my couch.

Except this time Will lay in front of me, his body perfectly aligned with my own so I could wrap my arm around his waist and keep him close. He perfectly in the space below my neck, gently caressing my arm with those soft fingers while we watched the movie as close to the screen as we could be without hurting his eyes. He said he could get the gist of what was happening by the words, I explained anything I knew he missed in a whisper.

I knew the others could here either way, but I also knew Will wouldn't have liked it if I helped him any other way.

So it had been a good day, in the end, Will had grown just a little bit more comfortable being around everyone in the family, the neon clothing the refused to take off seeming to make his walls crumble just a little more.
