Chap. 38: It Was Just A Dream

       For over half the day, Emily had unpacked her suitcases and put them on racks, in drawers, and organized everything so there will still be room for Christian's things in her closet room. After changing into a more comfortable outfit that wasn't so heavy, she had placed the presents on the floor so she could film each one being wrapped on the bed without the hassle of having to move other presents around each time.

         The first present was a simple present but it made her smile wide. It was a gold chain necklace with the name 'Christian' on it in the billionaire's personal signature. She immediately put it on, remembering the time she was singing a Taylor Swift song and Christian caught her singing the line about having a man's initial around her neck. When Christian later asked about it, Emily had admitted that she would like to have one with her man's name around her neck. But now, Emily can see that the billionaire wanted to make sure she had a personalized necklace like none other in the world. The second present was a portable Bluetooth speaker in the shape of a red pill. Emily wondered if there was even WiFi on the island.

           Then the third and final gift for the day, Emily decided so she'll have something to look forward to each day, was a big present. It had a note attached to it that read:

                 For when you need me.

             Emily nods her head slowly and rips the box open to find a humongous body pillow with aloe & copper infusions to Emily keep cool during the hot nights. After making sure the camera is turned off, the brunette cuddles the pillow as she thinks about how much she misses Christian. How much she physically needs him (not just sex!!). She curls up on the California King sized bed and bawls as her sadness overwhelms her once again.

           Emily tosses and turns in her bed. It's her first night away from Christian. The bed is cold, empty feeling. She curls into her body pillow as she wishes for Christian to suddenly appear so they can be together again as one.

           Suddenly, the bedroom doors open. The brunette half expects it to Happy or Zephyr, possibly another hired hand who she hadn't quite met yet. But, there before her, is Christian. He stands there bare chested with his plaid pajama bottoms hung loose on his hips. Emily quickly rises from the bed. She goes to run to him but he quickly meets her before she can get off the bed. They embrace each other, holding each other close. Emily notices that Christian doesn't hold her as tight as she holds him.

          "Baby! You're here!" Emily cries out happily, holding onto him tighter.

          The billionaire softly holds her in his arms, beaming down at her. The brunette ruffles his silky soft hair, gazing deep into his eyes. Suddenly, the billionaire pushes her down onto the bed. He brushes the hair out of her face while smiling at her. His thumb and index finger holds her chin as he begins to close his eyes and kiss her.

       Emilys eyes fly open, her mouth gasping. Her hands grasp the bedsheets as her body shakes. She sits up in her bed and looks around frantically in the dark room. Christian is no one in sight. Emily's lip trembles at the realization.

            It was just a dream! Emily pouts her lip as tears fall down her cheeks, It was all just a damn dream!

        Already emotionally exhausted, the brunette curls up once again with her body pillow and cries herself to sleep. Her mind only on the man who will meet her in her dreams.

Just to explain something if anyone is confused: bold + (parentheses) is for when I'm talking to my readers. italic is either the characters thoughts or they are talking in a certain way than normal. And lastly, if it's underlined, it means that the character is reading a note/sign/letter/writing of some kind. Just wanted to clarify that up if any of you were confused!!!
