Going to the lame man's place brought back memories, not just from the last week, but from my life before the boys. Between telling Jonah, who was driving, to go left, I started choking up and crying.
Daniel immediately pulled me to him, and Gabbie, who was sitting next to Jack, finished what I was saying and looked at me with sympathy. For some reason, the lame man reminded of a time before everything happened, like when I was in Australia, I felt like I had seen him, what could it be.
When we got there and saw him arrested, I finally realised. Just before my family died, I got sick and had to stay behind while my entire family moved to WA, on a plane, and over the desert, they crashed. No one on the plane survived and I would soon know why
