I followed Yunho downstairs towards the beautiful scents coming from the kitchen. Seonghwa, Hongjoong and Yeosang were sitting around the table waiting for Wooyoung to serve up the pancakes, while San helped in the kitchen, cutting up fruit. They looked like a cute family sitting down for a meal. I quickly took a place next to Yunho, not wanting to be caught in a "there's not enough chairs" situation again.
"Good morning Y/N!" Yeosang greeted me first.
"Morning," I smiled back at him.
I didn't notice Mingi walking into the kitchen until he pulled out the chair next to me. He was so upset the day before; I was scared to make eye contact with him, so I just continued to listen to Yeosang's ramblings. Mingi just silently sat down and poured himself coffee, but I felt his presence.
"Pancakes are ready. Who wants some?" Wooyoung announced. A unanimous "ME!" rang out in the kitchen.
Hongjoong piped up, "Shouldn't we wait for Jongho?"
"He was still asleep when I checked, he can eat once he get's up." San shrugged. Memories of last night's strange events flooded my head. As much as I disliked him, I couldn't help but wonder if he was doing alright.
The group dug into breakfast with their ravenous appetites. I had to admit that the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. These guys should have been chefs, not robbers. I reached to grab the carton of orange juice when I felt something on my thigh. A hand. Mingi's hand. I stared at him, wide eyed, but he didn't even acknowledge his long fingers wrapped around my bare skin. He just continued listening to the conversation.
My faced must have gone beet red because suddenly San was looking over at me, "What's wrong Y/N?"
I felt Mingi's fingers squeeze my leg. It wasn't particularly sexual, more possessive than anything. It doesn't mean that I wasn't embarrassed though. "I'm fine, just warm."
San accepted the answer and returned to his conversation, but Yunho didn't. Looking over, he saw Mingi's hand on my thigh, and his blood boiled. He didn't want to make a scene in front of everyone but he had to do something. So, he reached over and put his hand on my other thigh.
He and Mingi were having a weird glaring contest overtop my head. I was just trying to be still and not look like anything was going on beneath the table. But Hongjoong noticed my discomfort from the other side of the table.
"Ok, seriously, what is going on over there? You two children look like you're about to rip each other's heads off." He scolded.
I spoke first, "I'm finished, I'm leaving." With that, I excused myself from the table, walking out of the kitchen. What the hell was wrong with those two?
I explored down a hallway and found a door that led to the backyard. A wooden bench overlooked some of the property's gardens. I sat down and looked out at the landscape. And I started crying. I wasn't really crying about what had happened in the kitchen, but instead the source of my tears was just a culmination of everything that had happened throughout the last couple days. Being a hostage and subsequently kidnapped. It just all hit me at once.
"Y/N?" a voice came out to greet me.
A turned to see San walking out. I sniffled back my tears a little, "What are you doing here?"
"Hongjoong wanted me to make sure you weren't trying to run away."
"Oh...right."
He came and sat down next to me. "Why are you crying?"
"I don't know, it's just everything. Being trapped here. I miss my friends and my parents. I should be writing my midterms right now, not here."
"You're a university student?"
"Yeah, I'm pre-law." My tears let up finally. I felt like I could open up to San, he seemed genuinely nice.
"Wow, you must be smart. My grades weren't ever good enough to go to university. It didn't matter though, I always wanted to dance."
The shocked look on my face made him laugh.
"I know, I know, I'm in a pretty different profession now. I'm sorry that you feel so bad. If it helps, I didn't want to take any of the hostages with us, but Hongjoong insisted." He paused for a moment, thinking, then continued, "Here's what I'll do! I'll go out today and buy you some clothes, so you have something other than Yunho's shirts to wear."
I smiled at him, "Thanks, it would be nice to at least have pants."
"Don't worry, I have a great fashion sense. I even buy Wooyoung's clothes for him. He would look like a whole mess without me." He laughed.
"You two are really cute together."
"What do you mean?" He looked confused.
"You and Wooyoung. You're dating right?"
"Oh... no we aren't. But you really thought we looked like boyfriends?" He kicked at some small pebbles on the ground.
"Yeah I thought you were. Sorry." Oops.
He was silent for a minute then spoke up again, "I'll tell you a secret Y/N, just because I trust you not to tell the others. I do kind of like Wooyoung." His voice trailed off a little.
"I knew it!"
"But don't tell him okay? I'm not even sure if he likes guys, never mind me. It might freak him out."
"It's okay, I won't tell him. I swear." My brain was quietly fangirling. They would literally be the cutest couple ever.
"Okay I'm off to buy you a whole wardrobe." He got up to go back inside.
"San?" I called to him.
"Yeah?"
"Can I sleep in your room tonight? I can't really deal with any of the other guys, and now I know you're not interested in jumping me. I promise that I won't be a bother."
"Of course! It's no bother at all. I can show you how to style your new wardrobe!"
"Thanks San!" I called out at him as he walked off. I think he was my new favorite.

Note to Reader:
A cute lil friendship chapter. I don't really know where this story is going. I mean, I have some ideas but I don't really know about them. I'm having a bit of writer's block so if the next bit of the book kinda sucks, then that's why. I'm planning more drama next chapter though. :)
