--------- WOOYOUNG'S POV-----------
The house was so quiet that I could hear the analog clock ticking away on the kitchen wall. San was still laying motionless on the kitchen table. Y/N was gone. We all just sat around, each of us consumed with our own thoughts.
The police had saved the hostage, but they would be back to deal with us. And we couldn't go anywhere while San was still in such a fragile condition. Even the always temperate Hongjoong looked nervous. He had planned for a lot, but not for this.
Jongho's voice broke our silence. "We have to go. I know that no one wants to leave San, but he might not wake up at all. And then we're all screwed."
"I have a safehouse we can go to. The police won't be able to find it." Hongjoong paused. "I just don't know if he could survive the trip there." He motioned over to San.
"We aren't leaving him!" I shouted. Anger burned through my chest. How could they even think that? "Aren't we supposed to be a team?"
"Look Woo, I have two cars in the garage. I'll give you the address. I'll leave with anyone who wants to go now. Once he wakes up, you can drive him to the safe house in the other car." Hongjoong reasoned. "Who wants to go now?"
Jongho quickly stood up and walked towards the door. Yeosang took a moment and then followed.
Seonghwa got up but stayed put. "I'll stay, I'm the one with first aid training."
"Me too. I'll stay with San." Yunho piped up.
Mingi sat against the wall, completely unsure. It felt wrong to leave – but his instinct of self-preservation pulled him towards the door as well. "Sorry, Woo." He muttered walking out with the other three. Hongjoong quickly texted me the address, then they left the kitchen. Not long afterwards, I heard car tires whirling down the dirt road outside.
"How long do you think we have until the cops show up?" Yunho asked.
"Not long, an hour at most." Seonghwa answered. "We need to be prepared. Yunho, can you help me grab some guns from upstairs?"
Yunho nodded and they both walked out. I sat next the kitchen table where San lay. I studied his sharp features. I had never really noticed before how handsome he was before. His defined jaw, his pretty cat eyes... it was like I was seeing him for the first time.
I'm not sure what came over me. I reached out and grabbed his hand, intertwining our fingers together while he slept. Pressing his hand to my cheek, I felt tears well up in my eyes again. Why was he so cold?
"San, I don't know if you can hear me. But if you can, you have to wake up." My voice caught in my throat. "There's so many things I want to do together. I'm going to take you to Spain. But you have to wake up first."
My face was wet with tears, "I need you."
All of a sudden, I felt San's hand twitch against my cheek.
"San?" My eyes darted up to his face. His eyes fluttered as he regained consciousness. His head turned towards me, recognizing the sound of my voice.
"Wooyoung?" He croaked.
"Oh my god San! You're okay!" Somewhere between those words, my heartbroken tears turned into tears of comfort. It was like a heavy weight lifted from me. Before I knew what I was doing, I leaned over him and wrapped my arms around him and brought him in towards me. I held him desperately. I never wanted to let him go.
"Woo..." San coughed, "You're crushing me."
I immediately pulled back. "I'm sorry! I just... I thought you were dying."
He looked startled, "How did I get here? I don't...what happened to me?"
"You got shot, but you're going to be okay now. We have to leave soon because the police will be back. Do you feel strong enough to move?"
"I think so."
"Here let me help. Careful." I told him. I grabbed his forearms and helped him sit up first. He grimaced, looking down at his abdomen.
"Are you okay?" I glanced down to the bandage on his stomach in concern. He nodded slowly. I helped him up to his feet. He leaned on my arms; body weak beneath him. With my support, we slowly walked towards the garage.
"SAN!" Yunho yelled, arms full with canvas gun cases. "You're okay!"
"Thank god," Seonghwa popped his head out from behind Yunho, "Let's get the hell out of here. I'll drive."
Like Hongjoong had said, there was a black SUV parked in the garage. Yunho jumped in the passenger seat, as I carefully helped San into the back with me. As we pulled out of the garage, the road was still clear of cop cars. Seonghwa shifted into a higher tear and we sped down the dirt road.
I looked over to see how San was doing, but his eyes were on my hand. Because it was clasped around his. I hadn't even noticed that I was holding his hand. I considered pulling it away but San didn't seem to mind and to be completely honest, I didn't either.
After a few minutes of driving, a very sleepy San's head fell onto my shoulder. His dark hair flopped onto my shoulder and slightly brushed against my neck. I softly traced circles with my finger on the back of his hand. I don't really know why, but in that moment, my heart was filled with complete serenity.

Note to Reader:
Lmao an attempt at writing a real fluffy chapter. Y/N, Mingi and Yunho are all separated which means that it was time for a Woosan chapter. :)
