~ Oops sorry this chapter is so late, work has been killing me lately. ~

The week had flown by in a flurry of planning and packing. The preoccupation really helped to keep my mind busy. Not only did we have to plan a move, but we also had to create all new identities for ourselves to be able to leave the country undetected. Seonghwa said he would take care of it and one day returned home to call us to a house meeting. No one bothered to ask him what he was up to. With Hongjoong gone, Seonghwa had assumed the unofficial leader position.
Once we had all gathered in the living room, he reached into his backpack and pulled out eight passports, handing them out to each of us. When he handed me mine, I scanned over it quickly. I was dumbfounded by how real it looked.
"How'd you get your hands on these?" Wooyoung asked curiously, as he flipped through the little book.
"I know some people," Seonghwa shrugged off his question. "If you're worried about getting caught, don't be. Even the best couldn't tell that these are fake."
I flipped through my own passport. The picture was of me, but the rest of the information was different. My eyes widened when they fell on my supposed "name".
"Really Seonghwa?" I asked accusingly. He turned towards me, confused. "I couldn't get a better name than Mildred? It sounds like I'm 80 years old."
He chuckled and held his hands up, "Hey, I didn't get to pick the names." Clearly, he didn't feel that bad about it though, based on his continued laughter.
"Don't worry," Yunho patted my arm tenderly, trying to reassure me, "No one is actually going to call you that, it's just on paper."
"I mean... I'll probably call you Mildred from now on," Jongho joked, "I think it's much more fitting."
I glared at him overdramatically, "SHUT up Jongho." He chuckled, knowing full well that I wasn't being serious. Even though we still made fun of each other, we both knew it was friendly teasing instead of actual insults.

The next day we were all up before sunrise, as difficult as that was for me, to catch our flights. I slipped out of my pyjamas into comfortable sweatpants and a hoodie, fully expecting to be able to continue my interrupted sleep on the flight. We carried our luggage down and piled it into taxis to the airport. I didn't have a lot of luggage, only some clothes and essentials. I figured I could do more shopping once we arrived in LA.
I wasn't sure if maybe there was a memo that I had missed but all of the others had dressed up nicely for the airport. It didn't help that Yunho stepped out looking like a supermodel, in his black denim jacket and black skinny jeans. Glancing down at my frumpy outfit, I suddenly felt a wave of self consciousness come over me.
"Where are you going?" Yunho asked, as I passed by him back towards the apartment, dragging my suitcase behind me.
"I'm gonna change really quick. I'll only be a couple minutes."
The tall man reached out and took my free hand, pulling me back towards him. "No time. We're going to be late. And you already look good."
"But..." I stared down at the gray sweatpants uneasily.
"Don't make me have to kidnap you again," He giggled, flicking his blue hair out of his eyes. "Because I'll do it if I have to baby."
"Okay, okay, I'll go," I conceded, joining his laughter.
Once we arrived at the airport, we quickly had to split up to separate terminals. I said my goodbyes to Wooyoung, Yeosang and Seonghwa. I was hoping I wouldn't cry, but as I hugged San goodbye, I couldn't help it.
"You better come visit." I instructed him, as my tears fell of his sleeve. "And call."
"Of course, don't worry. I'll call everyday." He confirmed. "I'm gonna miss you Y/N. A lot."
"Me too," I sniffled. As I watched as they walked off in the opposite direction, a part of me hoped that they wouldn't leave, but soon enough the four turned a corner and were out of sight.
The rest of us – myself, Yunho, Jongho and Dahyun – went through our security with ease, no one questioning the passports or our identities. Seonghwa had done a good job. We sat for a while in the terminal until our flight was almost ready to board. Before they called our section, someone sat down next to my seat. The terminal was busy enough that I didn't think anything of it, until I looked at Yunho, who looked as though he had seen a ghost.
I turned to take a look, and my heart dropped.
There he was, casually sitting with his carry-on bag with a timid look on his face. His eyes had dark circles and his hair was messy, like it had been a few days since it had been washed.
Song Mingi. Just the sight of him made me both upset and furious at the same time.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I demanded, maybe a bit too loudly, as a couple strangers turned to see what the commotion was about. Dahyun and Jongho looked about as shocked as I was.
"I'm sorry Y/N. I really am. I was a real asshole." He apologized sincerely, but it barely made an impact in my anger. His voice was quieter than I had ever heard before. "I know you're mad, and you deserve to be. But I can't be apart from you. I love you, and I want to come with you."
He reached out for my hand but I pulled away quickly, surprising him. I was speechless. He really thought I would forgive him just like that? He could have come back anytime in the past week and he chose now? After everything that he put me through, I knew that I never wanted to feel like that again. "You just left. You chose to leave. And me and Yunho have plans now. That don't include you."
I knew it came out harsher than I had meant it to be by the heartbroken look that appeared on Mingi's face. Still, I forced myself not to cave. With any confidence he had depleted, his next question came out as a whisper. "But... but don't you still love me?"
Of course I did. I couldn't bring myself to tell him that. Because maybe loving him wasn't enough anymore.
"Well well well..." A familiarly cruel voice cut into our conversation from a few feet away. "Isn't this a fun little reunion?"
We all turned towards the voice, but I recognized the voice without even having to see the face.
Kim Hongjoong.
