Gina, Ashlyn and EJ sat in the ladders living room.
They had just finished cleaning the house up after the massive after-party. It was a sunday afternoon and thankfully because of homecoming week they had no homework over that weekend.
"I'm drained" Gina felt herself land on the softness of EJ's couch while Ashlyn laughed. EJ couldn't take his mind off of one thing though. He had seen Nini enter Gina's room around midnight, and he didn't see her leave until around 4 am.
Of course he didn't know whether to ask or not because Nini had seen him and Ricky together. Ricky assured him that Nini wouldn't say anything but still, he wandered if Gina knew.
He shook his head and both girls looked at him questionably. Gina couldn't have known. If she did she would've been freaking out on him, or at least asking him what the hell he was thinking. Gina wouldn't give him an ultimatum but she surely wouldn't be pleased.
"You okay EJ?"
Ashlyn looked at her cousin in a very questioning way and he just shrugged."Why was Nini in your room practically all night?"
EJ didn't realize he was asking the question until it was too late. Gina's eyes widen and Ashlyn snapped her head towards the girl. Shit, that's all that ran through Gina's mind.
"She caught me singing a song, it was about my dad. We started talking but that was it. I kicked her out after wards."
She tried so desperately to pull it off as if it were nothing. Which in hind sight she should've known she couldn't do that with EJ and Ashlyn.
"She looked upset when she left" EJ dragged on and Gina rolled her eyes.
"Because I told her we couldn't be friends. That I didn't want her in my life. All simple things really"
Ashlyn finally out her phone down and looked at Gina. The girl wasn't blind, how Nini looked at Gina, it was how she once looked at her. Ashlyn knew that Nini harbored feelings for the curly-headed girl. Gina just had to accept that, and I mean it's like she isn't into girls.
"Did you guys have a connection?"
They all looked at each other. Gina was unsure of how to answer the question and Ashlyn was shocked she even asked the question.
"Honestly. I don't know. I opened up to her faster than anyone I have ever met. But that doesn't matter she's Ricky's friend. I can't trust that"
EJ looked down. Ashlyn just eyed her.
They both knew where Gina was coming from and completely understood but EJ was falling for the other boy. And Ashlyn? Well she just wanted Gina to break down her walls. After enough talks with Vanna and Astrid, she knew that Gina deserved someone that was capable of showing her love and vulnerability. She knew Nini was capable of just that and more."Whatever new topic!"
EJ quickly changed the subject to Water Polo. A serious tournament was coming up and he wanted both of them there. Of course both girls agreed to be there and they all fell back into silence, each of them on their phones.
Until Ashlyn let out a shocked gasp and they all looked at her.
"Are you okay?" EJ let out with a chuckle and Gina just looked up from her phone.
"Gina's fucking verified!"
EJ looked confused and Gina was finally paying full attention. EJ stood up and walked over to see Ashlyn's phone. Where he in fact saw that Gina was verified on Twitter and Instagram. Why they hadn't noticed or followed her until now baffled them, but not more than why Gina didn't let them know she had that type of following.
