"What'd you say to her?"
Ej whispered to Astrid as Ashlyn comforted Gina.

"I knew she'd hurt her. I told her off, made sure she knew that what she was so scared Gina would do, she did"

On the low Ej and Astrid fist bumped. They liked Nini but they could both admit she had fucked up. And because their priority was Gina they had to act like Gina's protective siblings and tell Nini off.

Ej had already done so. He sent Nini quite a bit of texts.

"Shh baby shhh. You're gonna be okay"
Ashlyn hugged a crying Gina.

It was tough to see Gina like that. The song had really gotten to her.

"Does she really s-see me like that? As someone with too much pride?"

The friends all looked at each other.

"I think she was just hurt. Hurt that you guys both kept things from each other. Nini's a good person she wouldn't purposefully hurt you"

Gina pulled away from the embrace and wiped some of her tears.
"But I would purposely hurt her?"

"Of course not!"
"Bitch no"
"You wouldn't Gi"

Gina smiled at the quick responses her friends gave.
Especially at Ej's.

The group of friends kept talking and talking. Being just outside of Trade the whole time.

"Ash?"

"Hmm"

"Do you remember that song that you looked at while you were at my house the other day?"

"Which one, 1950 or 2/14"

Gina smiled at the fact that her friend remembered both songs. Astrid smiled a bit too, she knew the songs well too. She had been working on the actual finished up studio versions with her parents. Of course, Gina didn't know it was supposed to be a surprise.

"2/14"

"Oh that song was incredible!"
Ej exclaimed and Gina looked at him.
"What I snoop okay?"

The boy shrugged and Gina smiled at him. Of course, she had left him alone in her room once and he did snoop.

"Yeah I know it, why?"

Gina smiled and wiped more of her tears. It was still evident that she had been crying but she had a bright smile on her face.

"Think you could play while I sing?"

Ashlyn looked shocked but agreed nonetheless.
Gina stood up and looked at her friends, who looked shocked.

"Oh you mean now?"

Gina laughed and nodded her head.

"She's Gina fucking Porter, watch out world cause here she comes"
Astrid said it loudly and it caused the whole friend group to laugh at the same time.

"You sure Gi?"

"Beyond sure"

Gina talked to Momma D for a few before going up to the stage and speaking into the mic.

"Uh hi! This is my first time performing here and this song is very dear to my heart. It's also an uh an original song, so i hope you enjoy"

She looked back to see her friends on the stage with her. Ej was playing the drums and Ashlyn the keyboard. Astrid was standing by her ready for play the electric guitar.

She took a deep breath as they began to play the intro of the song. She closed her eyes and let herself get lost within her lyrics.

They closed out the song and Gina opened her eyes once more. She was smiling as Ej, Ashlyn and Astrid all engulfed her in one huge hug.

The customers in Trade all clapped to the song. Which to them was relatable because as teenagers they all went through not wanting to be just friends with a person.

As she was walking down from the stage, Gina locked eyes with Nini but she looked away.

Nini had gotten her message across and Gina had gotten hers across as well. Even if Gina had just told Nini that she wanted more than 'just friends', she didn't have the energy to talk to the girl at least not yet.

For now she wanted to focus on her friends and enjoy Astrid's presence before she had to leave the next day.
