The two finish laughing at something that Nini had said. She couldn't believe that she actually made Gina laugh. Or that she actually sat in Gina's room without Gina wanting to kick her out.

Even if there's a couple of feet of distance between them Nini has never felt this close to Gina. Said girl was on her bed with her legs on the wall and head on her bed. While Nini opted for the chair Gina had in the corner of her room next to the stand that had her vinyl player.

"You've got a really cool room" Gina smiled but Nini didn't see it as she was looking around the room. She stood up and looked through Gina's records. She had an incredible variety of records and Nini couldn't believe how alike their music taste was.

"No way you listen to The 1975"

Gina smiled from where she was laying.
"Yeah my favorite song is definitely Loving Someone"

Nini picked up the album and looked their track list.

"My favorite is actually A Change of Heart. It's such a vulnerable song"

Gina nodded her head to Nini's words and thought about it. It was an amazing song but she didn't know about the vulnerability of the song. Sure it was to a certain extent, all of The 1975's songs were vulnerable to some extent but to her A Change of Heart was about someone doing you wrong and you literally changing your heart about them.

"Anything else you like?"

"What do you mean?" Gina furrowed her brows at Nini's question.

"Like artists. Who else do you really like?"

Gina took a second before pointing to a direction and Nini went there and picked up the album.

"Bleachers?"

Gina nodded her head.

"Play Rollercoasters you'll see why"

Nini shrugged and put the record on the record player and set it to the track. She then sat back in her chair reading the little booklet that had come with the album looking for the lyrics of the song.

"Okay Love Simon"

Gina laughed at the comment Nini made. They let the rest of the songs play out and both listened intently before the silence was broken.

"Why'd you leave the party?"

Gina sat up in her bed and finally faced Nini.

"I guess I just needed some quiet"

Nini nodded her head. Completely not believing Gina but putting up with the answer.

"You have an incredible music taste Porter"

Gina smiles and continues to stare at Nini while she's looking through the records yet again. Nini shifts her attention to Gina's fully loaded bookcase when it catches her eye.

She runs her hands along the spines of the books. They look torn and old, you could tell the pages had indents from where Gina marked her place. " Looking For Alaska " caught her eye and she immediately pulled it out. She flipped through it and saw multiple notes and highlighted passages in the book.

Gina watched intently as Nini mindlessly searched through collections she wouldn't even let her mother touch. Granted that's also because she was a teenage girl but she knew deep down that even if Vanna or Astrid tried to look through her books or records, she'd throw a fit.

"You like to read too?"

Gina just nodded her head. Before she knew it, she had stood up and stood behind Nini. She grabbed the book Nini was trying to grab but was too short for it. " The Book Thief " had been a book that got her through sometimes when she was in New York. She actually picked it up while on a friend date with Astrid, in Barnes & Nobles in Union Square. It's by far the best Barnes & Nobles in New York City and the one place she felt like she could be herself for a while in the Big Apple.

"You know I actually had to read this for school, last year... I hated it but then I read it over the summer. An amazing book if you ask me"

Nini looked through the book to see once again notes but this time with a finer tip pen and multiple different colored highlighters. She assumed it was because of the books heavy reference to colors when someone has passed on.

"I felt it on a little deeper level. Sure I didn't go through what Liesel went through but books were my escape since I was young. I felt like The Book Thief in a way"

Nini listened carefully the Gina's analogy. She cared for every word that left the girls mouth. Even if sometimes it was to push her away.

But then she looked at where she was. She was in Gina's room talking to her after Gina had tried to push her away again. No matter what Gina said, Nini knew that they had weak spots for each other. Otherwise they wouldn't be alone, together, so many times.

Nini felt the stare that Gina had on her. She'd be lying if she said it didn't affect her. She felt her face getting hotter by the second and she only assumed it was the blush creeping up onto her cheeks.

They spent a while laughing and looking through Gina's books and records. Nini was fascinated by the younger girl and she still didn't exactly know the reason. Gina started to notice just how much she liked Nini's presence, but she still felt like she had to keep up a facade around her. Even if she so desperately wanted to break down her own walls for the older girl in front of her.
