It was a Monday morning and Gina just wanted to get to school. She knew she was running late and that Nini had promised to have a black iced coffee waiting for her as soon as she actually made it to school. She was freaking out because she needed to keep her attendance good for soccer and now she had her PSATs to worry about too. All sophomores and junior were supposed to be doing pre-registration during first period but she was missing it, which meant she had to go back after school.
Thankfully she wouldn't be alone because knew Nini would stay back and be with her. They had gotten fairly close within the last two months and both girls knew that besides their obvious flirting, they were just really good friends. At least Gina hoped Nini knew that.
Something in Gina wanted a bit more though. She just knew she wasn't ready, at least not yet.
Where the hell did I put my car keys.
Gina was frantic as she looked all over her room before seeing the keys right on her bed side table. Her rolled her eyes at herself before grabbing them and rushing downstairs.
She wouldn't get to school till at least the ending of second period if not later, which meant she would have to catch Nini as she changed classes.
Gina stayed in the same room because Ms.Jenn taught her third periods creative writing class. Which obviously she knew she could use to take the nap she needed to take. It's not like the class wasn't a real class, it's just that Ms.Jenn knew that Gina was an incredible writer.
She turned on the ignition and made her way towards East High, at least I'll have coffee waiting for me.
~
Gina had made it twenty minutes before second period ended and with no speeding ticket. She didn't need one of those on her name, just yet.
"Gina you look dead"
Ej laughed at her as she sat down at their table. She had Theater with Ej, Carlos, Big Red Kourtney and of course Nini.
They sat together and of course made Ms.Jenn laugh her ass off the whole period. Theater wasn't so bad, they had a couple of projects here and there. Then mostly it was watching movies. Totally unlike the actual theater department which was extremely committed.
"Here you need it"
Carlos grabbed the coffee from Nini and handed it to Gina. Who gave me a fake smile before actually sending a real one towards Nini.
"You missed pre-registration last period"
" I know Red. I'm going after school"
Ej sent Gina a smile. He knew how stressed out she was.
The fall season of soccer ended and it begun again just as quickly. They were currently still practicing for Spring season which begins within a couple of weeks.
Then she had dance too. Which had a couple of major competitions coming up so Gina was stuck in a lot of back to back practices, lately.
She had a saturday program too which barely gave her days off. It was a bit hectic but Ej knew if anyone could handle it, it would be Gina,
"I got home really late last night. And then I had homework to do which meant I fell asleep around 4 am. And I woke up at 7:30 so I really wasn't getting here early today"
"Ina please calm down, you're gonna do great on the practice test just wait on it"
She sent a smile to Ej who then spoke to all of them. Ej had gone through this last year so he knew how stressed the juniors must be.
