Thor started to mumble something in his sleep, causing Carol to wake up. She leaned over to wake him up.
"Thor, wake up."
Thor woke up, confused. He looked to find Carol there and sighed.
"You were mumbling in your sleep."
"Sorry if I scared you."
"You didn't."
Thor smiled, and laid back down. He laid there with Carol in his arms. She fell back asleep and was breathing softly. It calmed him. He looked at the clock, 3:00 am. He closed his eyes and fell back asleep.

TWO YEARS LATER...

"I told you. You'd die for that!"
"You should have... you...you should have gone for the head!" Thanos says as he snaps the gauntlet.
"NO!"
Thanos disappeared through a portal and Thor just stood there. Carol is right beside him.
"What did he do?"
"He won." Thor fell to the ground.
He watches Bucky turn to dust, along with the others. Steve, Rhodes, Rocket, Okoye, and Thor stand there. He turned to Carol who starts to walk towards him.
"What's happening? Thor?" She says.
Thor sees her turning to dust and holds her in his arms.
"No, no,no. Carol please!"
"I don't know what's happening. I can't stop it. Help me Thor, please!" She cries.
"Please, don't go, I can't let you go."
"I'm sorry, please don't leave me."
"I won't leave you. I don't want you to leave me."
"Please."
"No, don't go, please don't go, please!" Thor sobbed.
Carol disappears in Thor's arms leaving him on the ground weeping. He is devastated. They lost, and she was gone because he failed. He sat on the ground crying. Steve is still trying to process what happened. The group just stood there. They all were in shock that they lost.

The Avengers were sitting in at the table thinking of a plan. Thor sat at the table, eating a roll and is still depressed over Carol.
"It's been 23 days since Thanos came to Earth."
"World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census. And it looks like he did... he did exactly what he said he was gonna do. Thanos wiped out fifty percent, of all living creatures."
"Where is he now? Where?"
"We don't know. He just opened a portal and walked through."
Tony looks at Thor, who doesn't even look up.
"What's wrong with him?"
"Oh, he's pissed. He thinks he failed. Which of course he did, but you know there's a lot of that's going around, ain't there?"
"Honestly, until this exact second, I thought you were a Build-A-Bear."
"Maybe I am."
"We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep Space scans, and satellites, and we got nothing. Tony, you fought him."
