Chapter 52

"Until I get the chance to beat Fury's ass, this is your room."

She showed him to a decent sized room, and left. Thor sat down on the bed, trying to get used what he had seen. He hated that she was married to Yon Rogg.

"Who the hell did you bring into our house?"

"Some dude from another universe. Fury told me to watch him while he made a plan."

"For how long?"

"I don't know."

"One of these days you need to show him he isn't the boss of you."

"Please stop. I have already had enough to deal with."

"I am getting tired of his crappy orders."

"Deal with it."

Carol turned away from Yon Rogg, which made him even more pissed.

"Are you even listening?!"

"Stop!"

"Answer me!"

"No! I don't have to!"

Yon Rogg slapped her, sending her to the ground. She held her face, and didn't respond to him. Thor got up from his spot, running to see what had happened. He saw Carol on the ground, quietly sobbing with an angry Yon Rogg standing right in front of her.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?"

"DON'T YOU DARE LAY ANOTHER HAND ON HER!"

"SHE'S MY WIFE! I CAN DO WHAT I WANT!"

Yon Rogg was about to slap her again but Thor caught his hand. He twisted it in a way it wasn't supposed to be bent, causing Yon Rogg to scream in pain.

"YOU DON'T TREAT ANYONE LIKE THAT!"

Thor held him to the ground, still screaming.

"SHE DOESN'T DESERVE AN ASSHOLE LIKE YOU!"

"GET OFF OF ME YOU BASTARD!"

Thor punched him in the face, breaking his nose. He didn't stop until Yon Rogg was unconscious. Thor got up from the ground, helping Carol up.

"Why do you stay with him? He is clearly abusive to you."

"I can't tell anyone else or he will kill me."

"He slapped you. I am ending this right now."

"He's going to kill me."

"I'm going to kill him first. No one should be treated like that."

"I have no where else to go."

"You are not staying here. I am going to take you away from this shit hole."

Thor lead Carol to her car, and drove back to S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. When they got there, Fury was confused, but didn't ask any questions.

"I may be from a different universe, but can you make sure Yon Rogg does not know she is here. He has been abusive to her, but she hasn't told anyone for the fear of him doing worse things."

"That jackass?"

"Yes. Please keep him as far as possible from her."

"I will. No one hurts my friend and gets away with it."

Thor sat down in ones of the many chairs, keeping an eye on Carol at all times. He had never seen someone so rude. She stared at the ground silently.
