"Chow time! Last one there has to do the dishes!"
Everyone made it to the kitchen within five minutes, not wanting to be last.
"Who was the last one here?"
"I'm pretty sure it was Quill."
"I was not. It was probably you."
"I am using my power to make both of you do it."
"You owe me Quill."
"Nope."
The Avengers sat down and started eating. Thor stared at Carol, silently telling her he was going to spill the news. There was an awkward silence until Natasha started talking.
"You two are suspiciously quiet. What secret are you hiding?"
"I have good news."
"What is it?"
"Carol is pregnant."
"Congratulations!"
"No wonder Thor was being quiet during the meeting."
"I don't like keeping secrets."
"Where did Loki go? He was here five minutes ago."
"He's probably causing trouble."
"I wouldn't put it past him. He's like a cat with a split personality. One minute he's trying to kill someone then the next he's the nicest person you have ever met."
"He did get a lifetime ban from Peter's school for stabbing Flash."
"When did that happen?"
"Two days ago."
"Isn't he also banned from the Smithsonian Museum?"
"Yup. He tried to take an Asgardian knife."
"Doesn't he have anything better to do?"
"Other than stealing the Tesseract, he doesn't."
"What place isn't he banned from?"
Carol gestured for Thor, and he stood up to help her.
"Is she okay? Do you need my help?"
"She's fine. Just exhausted from today."
Thor left with Carol in his arms, leaving the rest of the Avengers in the kitchen.
"I wish Tony would treat me like that."
"Sorry I'm not an Asgardian prince."
"You don't have to be. He treats her like a princess, even though she isn't Asgardian."
"Tony's just jealous of him."
"I am not."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Please. I am smarter than he is."
"And? He is nicer than you."
"Have you seen Rocket lately. He's worse than me."

"Do you need anything before I leave?"
"I'm fine. Thank you though."
"Well if you need me, I'll be waiting."
Thor left the room, shutting the door on his way out. Carol stared at the window, looking at the trees sway in the wind. Raindrops slide down the glass, making paths as they did. She grabbed her phone and scrolled through Instagram. Carol saw Tony, Pepper, and Morgan at Central Park with Aunt May and Peter.
