Chapter 19

An explosion in Tony's lab shook the entire building. A few paintings fell off the wall, along with Pepper's collection of art. Peter came out of the lab gasping for breath.

"I don't think that worked Tony."

"You put too much power into it." Tony held up the remnants of what used to be power generating battery.

"I did not think I put that much in it."

"Clearly you did. It looks like a melted car."

"In my defense, this was your idea."

Tony stared at him with the "you're lying to yourself" look.

"I take that back."

"You can't do that."

Carol felt the heat of Thor's body throughout her. He was sleeping softly right next to her, his arm wrapped around her waist. She heard him snore quietly, and smiled. Goose was curled up in between them, twitching slightly, with the occasional chirp. She stroked Goose's ears, watching the flerken's tail move slowly. The sun hit her eyes, causing her to squint. Goose yawned, stepping on her chest in the process of stretching. She pushed Goose off of her, and moved closer to Thor. She played with his hair until he woke up.

"Hello Sparkles. Rise and shine."

"Mrrgh."

Thor yawned loudly, and sat up.

"You missed it. Tin Man and Spiderling blew up a car battery."

"You have more energy than I do on a daily basis."

"Get up. Last one to the kitchen gets the mystery food Tony made."

Carol ran out of their bed, dashing to the kitchen. Thor tripped her, trying to get there before she did.

"No! Not again!"

"I don't want to eat a new living creature!"

"Neither do I!"

They both made it there at the same time, gasping for breath. Everyone else was there, except Scott. They all waited there, and smiled when Scott wandered in.

"It's your favorite time of the day."

"This is going to be funny."

"I hate all of you."

Natasha pulled something out of the back of the fridge, and slapped it on the counter. She opened the lid, revealing a black, sludgy thing. Scott started gagging, and Natasha smirked.

"Eat up Ant Man."

"I can't even look at it."

"You were the last out one out here."

The black thing started to move, earning a shriek from Bucky.

"Come on buddy, we don't have all day."

"It just moved! I am not eating a creature Tony made."

"It just the leftovers he had like a month ago."

"That's even worse!"

Thor and Carol had to hold Scott down, while Natasha and Sam shoved it down his throat.

"Swallow it."

Scott swallowed it, but immediately started gagging again. Everyone back away from him, not wanting to get hit if he threw up. He drank a gallon of milk, hoping it would get rid of the dead fish taste.
