Chapter 39

Wanda and Vision landed in front of the fallen Thanos, ready to kill him.

"You took everything from us!"

"Your world will suffer!"

Thanos threw his sword at Wanda, but she used her magic to knock it out of the way.

"I am correcting the mistakes of this universe."

Thanos used the Infinity Stones to stop the attacks from Vision. He punched Wanda, sending her across the battlefield. Tony released another missile at him, but it hit the building next to him, which caused it to collapse. 

"Nice aim Tin Man."

"My aiming system is down. I have to do it manually."

"Just replace your suit with another one."

"I don't have a backup. Mark 105 was my last one."

"That's a first."

Thor threw Mjolnir at Thanos, but Thanos knocked it out of the way.

"Fire the missiles!"

"Right away Sire."

Ebony Maw released every missile at the group, trying to kill them all.

"Get to cover!"

Steve used his shield to protect himself and Natasha, while Dr Strange protected the rest of the group. Thor wasn't close enough to get to cover and was hit by a missile.

"Oww."

"Hold on Thor, I'm coming."

Carol flew to Thor's location and shot another missile down before it hit him. Metal fell from the sky, hitting Thor.

"I am going to need you to destroy that ship."

Carol flew threw the ship, causing explosions throughout. It fell from the sky, raining down on the Avengers. Dust ran throughout the city, hitting anyone in its path. After it cleared, Thor looked up to see Thanos right in front of him.

"You can't seem to die, can you?"

Thor stood up to face his enemy, gripping Stormbreaker tightly.

"You will learn that hope cannot save you."

Thor closed his eyes, summoning his powers, while letting out a breath. Thunder rang throughout the city, and clouds formed overhead. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing bright blue. Lightning surrounded the god of thunder as he ran towards the Mad Titan.

"Like the old man said, together."

Thor smiled as he hit Thanos with his full power, making the buildings around them fall. 

"More dust is coming!"

Peter saw a giant dust cloud coming towards him and ran for cover. Clint and Natasha hid behind a car, watching the dust go over them. The dust hit Thor, covering him in a thick layer. Carol joined Thor on the ground, helping him with Thanos. 

"Like the old times."

"But with a little more thunder."

They ran towards him using their full power. Carol grabbed a hold of the Infinity Stones, taking them off his hand. Thor punched Thanos in the face, which made him bleed.

"I got the Stones."

"Bring them over here."

Tony made his way to Carol, and put them in his gauntlet. Carol took the glove and handed it to Steve. He ran away from Thanos, avoiding several attacks from Ebony Maw.
