Chapter 37: Missing Again

Cheska's

I woke up because of my noisy phone. Someone is calling, I didn't bother looking is it and just answered.

"Cheska we need to talk, I'll text you where." Was the only thing she said and hang up.

Mabilis akong bumngon pagkatapos nito. I know when they are serious mabilis akong naghanda at nagtungo sa lugar na sinabi ni Ashley.

I was in the middle of the road when I received a new message by Mellisha. I saved her number already.

Mellisha:

The group has a plan of firing your meeting place. Make a move while they are still here annsmdod

I got confused why her message was cut, but I didn't mind it. I have to go faster. I tried calling Ashley and Mc to tell them what Mellisha said but they are cannot be reach, which makes me nervous.

Mabilis kung pinaharurot ang motor ko. Good thing I used this. I was almost there when I saw a man pointing gun where Ashley and MC is. They did not notice me because they're busy talking on something. I immediately put out my gun from my compartment and shoot the man.

Tinaman ko ang kamay nito kaya hindi natuloy ang pagbaril sa mga kasama ko. Medyo marami rin ang tao, nagpanic na ang mga ito at nagsimula nang gumulo ang lugar.. I saw the two stand up at hinabol ang gun man. Iniandar ko ang motor ko upang sumunod ngunit tuluyan nang nakatakas layo ito.

"Boss!" sabay na sambit ng dalawa nang makita ako.

"You should be alert next time! You almost got shoot nang hindi niyo napapansin!" I shouted at them. I am so scared, what if hindi ako nakarating what will happen? They are important to me and hindi ko alam kung may nangyari sa kanila.

"Sorry boss." Nakayuko nilang ani.

I looked at them sighed and hugged them na siyang ikinagulat nila. They gave me goosebumps.

"Be careful next time, you're my family and I'm scared loosing you both." I sincerely said while hugging them. I felt that they hugged me back.

"You won't loose us Cheska. We'll be at each others back and as long as we are together nothing bad will happen." Ashley said while M's tapping my back. I somehow felt relived.

"Let's go find a place, the police will be here any minute to investigate madadamay tayo." Pambabasag ni Mc sa dramahan namin na agad naman naming sinunod.

We went in a fancy restaurant, para na rin tahimik at makapag-usap kami ng maayos. Lumapit sa amin ang waiter at kinuha ang order namin.

"Make yourselves comfortable ma'am, your order will be here after five minutes." Aafter the waiter turn his back nilabas na ni Mc ang kaniyang laptop.

"Do you know him?" she ask as she show the photo of a man I will never forget.

I clench my fist while looking at his photo. It's him. The man I am looking for. The man who took away my mother from us -who took away her life.

"Cheska?" Ashley hold my clenched fist. "Who is he?" she asked again. I closed my eyes before answering.

"He's the one who killed my mom." I said in very serious tone. I'm angry, every thing flashes back on how my mother suffered because of him.

Saglit silang natahimik. Hinaayan muna nila akong kumalma bago hinayaang ipagpatuloy ang pagsasalita.

"He is the leader of the group na gustong pumatay sayo. And remember El Fuero?" tanong ni MC.

"It's his group?" Tanong kong sagot.

"No. Isa lang ito sa mga galamay niya. He is using different groups to twist our minds. For us to target the wrong group." sagot naman ni Ashley.

"Then if he's the leader of that group, then what?" tanong ko.

"He is the leader of "V" mafia, do you know if he has a tattoo?"

"I saw an inverted triangle in his nape." I answered as what I remember.

"It is not triangle, it's V. His entire group has it, and the one that we encounter a while ago was one of them." Seryosong paliwanang ni Mc. Yes, I saw a tattoo on the back of the mans palm.

Dumating naman ang ini-order naming pagkain kaya itinigil muna namin ang usapan. We need to eat first. I'm hungry at hindi pa ako nag-aalmusal. We are almost done when my phone started ringing.

Daddy's Calling...

"Hello princess?" Bungad niya.

"Yes dad?" Sagot ko habang umiinom ng tubig.

"Where are you? It's so early ngunit wala ka na rito sa bahay?" tanong niya.

"I'm with my friends dad, we just meet up since matagal na kaming 'di nagkita." I lied, a bit. Of course I can't tell dad what are we doing.

"You have friends?" tanong pa nito na tila hindi makapaniwala.

"Of course dad!" Mataas na boses kong sagot.

"Just kidding my princess. I just want to say I'll be out again. I have business to do."

"Again?" Mukhang napapadalas ang pag-alis ni Daddy. I know he's always in business but when he come home he stayed for half a year, but now wala pang tatlong araw. "Are we candidate to bankruptcy dad?" I curiously asked, but he just laughed at it.

"Of course not, Princess. I just have to fixed things for you and your brother's future...and safety." He just mumbled the last word but I clearly heard it. I was to ask again when he speak first and end the call. "Bye my Cheska see you! Baka malate ako sa flight ko. I love you!" And all I hear was a disconnection tone.

"What's with the face?" Ashley ask.

"Nothing, parang may kutob lang ako Kay dad. He seems to be keeping something." I honestly said.

"Just like how you keep you whereabouts?" napatingin ako kay MC. "Just trust him the way he trust you, I'm sure he's just doing what dad should do." she continued.

She's right, I should trust dad. He knows what's best for us, but still I should find ways to know his whereabouts especially that I'm facing this V mafia. I trust him, but I am afraid. Losing mom is too much, I don't know what would be my state if it also happen to daddy.

Tyler Calling...

I creased my forehead on Tyler's sudden call. Seeing his name on my phone gives me goosebumps why is he calling? I hope nothing bad happen. I took a deep breath before answering his call.

"Yes?" I greeted casually. I can hear the noise of streets on the other line. "Tyler bakit ka napatawag?" I asked again when I didn't hear him.

"Cheska..." he started and then all I can here was the noise on the other line. It is like he is talking to someone but I can't clearly hear what they are saying.

"Tyler?" I asked again.

"C-cheska..." his voice cracked. The way he said it I know there is something wrong. My heart started thumping fast like it wanted to go out of my ribs. And I felt cold when I heard his sobs.

"Tyler speak up! D*mn it!" I shouted. Ashley and Mc looked at me worriedly.

"Cheska ... My son... My Gabriel..." he is crying like a lost lost boy. But hearing what he said, it's like ms world stop. I suddenly feel dizzy.

"WHAT! WHAT HAPPENED TYLER? TELL ME, WHAT HAPPEN!? WHAT HAPPENED TO SKY?!" I shouted because of frustration. I have hunch but I don't like to admit it. It can't be, not Sky.

"He's missing...our baby is missing." Hearing what he said made me lost all my strength.
