A/N: Just a quick disclaimer! For the sake of this fanfic Kenma lives nearby (which means it's walking distance from other character's houses) if some of you haven't noticed!! Some of y'all be coming for my throat like damn. Lmao. Please just love me.

Hinata:

Hinata made his way back home from Kenma's place before it got too dark out. Originally he was going to spend the full weekend at Kenma's place but after so much going on, he figured it was best to go home and allow his mind to take everything in. Hinata walked in the front door and announced his arrival to his mom. He heard small feet scatter from the living room and Natsu came into view as she leaped onto him for a hug.

"Onii-chan!! You're hommmmmee! I missed you." Natsu said as she tightened her embrace on Hinata. He let out a soft chuckle.

"I've been gone like a day Natsu. You're silly." Hinata responded. The little girl giggled, not loosening her grip on her brother. He shook his head as he carried her back into the living room where their mom was as well.

"Hey honey, how was hanging out with Kenma? I figured you wouldn't be back until tomorrow?" His mother asked, as he flopped down on the couch with Natsu next to their mom.

Hinata let out a deep sigh.

"Uhhh, yeah I just felt like coming home. It was fun. I'm just a little tired." He replied as he avoided making eye contact with his mom. He could feel his mom's eyes on him as she studied him a little longer.

"Did something happen Shōyō? You do know that you can talk to me about anything right?" She further asked.

He sat there quietly for a minute internally debating whether or not he wanted to tell his mom what was going on. He wasn't even sure if his mom would be okay with the idea of her son being interested in a guy let alone bring up all the mess that's been going on. Hinata looked down at Natsu who was also looking at him. His eyes began to tear up as the little girl cupped his face with her hands.

"Shōyō, talk to me baby. What's wrong?" His mom asked as she scooted herself closer to her son and put her arms around him, slightly concerned. The small action of affection set all his emotions off and he found himself letting his tears flow.

Hinata's mom held him as he continued to sob in her arms while Natsu simply placed her head on his chest hoping she provided any type of comfort. A few minutes later, Hinata pulled back from his mother's embrace as he looked at her, his eyes a little swollen from all the crying he had just done.

"Okaa-chan, I-I, what do y-you think about g-guys liking other guys?" He stuttered, scared of the answer his mom would give. He looked down at Natsu who was still quietly laying on his chest and softly began to rub her back. Hinata's mom placed a hand on his cheek making him look back up at her. She gave him a soft smile.

"Honey, there's nothing wrong with a boy liking another boy or a girl liking another girl. Your heart doesn't see race, gender, background, sexuality, or anything else. Sometimes you just simply have no control over it. There are plenty of people who would tell you otherwise. Plenty of people who are just plain hateful and can't see love for love. And that's okay. They are entitled to their own opinion. As long as you don't let it affect you and who you are. I'll always love you no matter what." His mother's words hit a chord mentally. He let out a sigh of relief as tears once again streamed down his face.

"No more crying honey. Your eyes are gonna' get all puffy." She said as she wiped her son's tears off his face. "Now, tell me what's on your mind." She continued.

Hinata tried to pull himself together to tell his mom what was going on with him and Kageyama.

After a couple hours and plenty of snacks later, he finished telling his mom his concerns and problems. He looked at Natsu as she was fast asleep on his lap. "I just-- I don't know what to do."

"Mmm... that is very troubling. Next time we should avoid drinking alcohol." His mom responded, not really upset but also not wanting it to happen again until he's of age for drinking. A red hue formed on Hinata's cheeks, embarrassed about his irresponsible actions.

"Gomen'nasai okaa-chan."

Hinata's mom let out a small chuckle. "It's okay as long as you wait until you're of age to drink. So back to what's currently happening, what do you WANT to do?" She asked.

"I like Tobio. But I'm also really scared of things not working out and then it being extremely awkward during school and volleyball practice. I'm scared of how the others would react about us potentially becoming something. I'm just so confused." He groaned as he ran his hands through his hair.

"Shōyō, if you like him then the rest shouldn't matter. Things may not work out and maybe that's just how it played out. But if you don't try, that feeling of never knowing what could've been will haunt you. If your teammates are your friends, the relationship that you and Tobio have won't matter to them, and if it does happen to bother them, then honey, you need different friends. Good friends accept you no matter what." She stated. They sat there quietly while his mother's words resonated. His mom looked at the time before getting up. It was well past midnight. She walked over and placed a kiss on Hinata's forehead before she picked up Natsu to take her to her room.

"I'm sure you will figure it out honey. For the most part your heart has already given you an answer. All that's left is getting your mind to agree with it. I love you and try to get some rest okay?" She said.

"Okay. I love you too okaa-chan. Good night, and I will." He replied with a soft smile. He watched his mom headed off with Natsu and continued to sit there. He let out another sigh as so many things continued to run through his mind. His mother was right, his heart had already chosen what it wanted to do. He just wasn't sure if his mind would allow the same thing to happen.

Hinata got up and made his way to his room.

He sat on his bed and looked down at the clothes he was wearing. He pulled the fabric up to his nose and gently smelled it.

'It still smells like him.' He thought as he fell back onto his bed.

"Okaa-san is right. I shouldn't fear what hasn't happened yet. Maybe I should go on this date." He whispered.

Hinata curled up on his bed and quickly found comfort. Alas his body grew tired from everything that had happened and darkness swallowed his mind allowing sleep to take over.
