Kageyama:

Tobio stared at the floor, contemplating whether he wanted to be honest with the captain. He was kind of embarrassed to tell him why he was up so late.

"Well? I'm waiting." Ennoshita said, his arms crossed.

Defeated, Kageyama decided to tell him the truth.

"I have the date with Shōyō this weekend while we're in Tokyo and I was looking up things to do. I wanted to make sure he'd like our date. I also spent a lot of time looking up other people's first dates and how those went or what they talked about. I didn't realize how late it had gotten. I had been on my computer since like 6." Kageyama's eyes were still on the floor, he heard Ennoshita chuckle only causing his embarrassment to deepen and the color on his face to redden.

"Yaaaaah captain. It's not funny." Kageyama continued.

"I'm not laughing because it's funny Tobio, I'm laughing because that's cute and cute just isn't like you." Ennoshita said, only making Kageyama want to die there on the spot.

Kageyama groaned as he let his head fall into his hands. The headache he had only continued to make his head throb. He just wanted to go home and get some sleep. At the same time he hated missing practice, school on the other hand was meh.

"Why don't you just go home Kageyama? You look worn out." Ennoshita asked.

"I don't want to miss practice, I already missed morning practice and that alone makes me feel shitty." Kageyama answered as he rubbed his head to hopefully ease some of the pain.

"Missing one day of practice won't kill you. Plus you trying to practice in this state is gonna' do more harm than good. Just go home." Ennoshita insisted.

Hesitantly, Tobio nodded his head in agreement and realized maybe it was for the best today. He stood up and tried to keep his balance.

"You can hardly stand on your own. Someone has to get y-" The captain's words being interrupted by another voice.

"I can take him home."

The two males glanced over and saw Hinata entering the gym.

"Ah Shōyō, have you been there long?" Ennoshita asked, a smile on his face.

"W-what? Oh no! Uh, I came back because I-I forgot my volleyball jacket a-and I just happened to h-hear about Kageyama n-needing to go h-home." Hinata answered nervously.

"Oh, okay. Well if you don't mind, your mom won't be upset about you missing school?" Their captain asked.

"No, as long as I tell her why then it should be fine." Shōyō replied.

"Okay, great! Kageyama is that okay with you?" Ennoshita questioned, both males looking over at Tobio.

Kageyama's blush still on his face, "Uh, y-yeah that's f-fine."

Ennoshita smiled and nodded before giving Kageyama a permission slip for the weekend and telling them to be careful and that he'd see them both tomorrow.

Kageyama and Hinata made their way out of the gym after saying their goodbyes while Hinata tried to keep Kageyama steady from falling.

"Yaahhh baka. You should've just stayed home." Shōyō scolded.

Kageyama chuckled, "If I did, I wouldn't have gotten to have you take me home."

Hinata's eyes widened in surprise.

Kageyama was also taken back by his own words but the lack of sleep and the pounding in his head made him not care about what he had chosen to say.
