Having Faith Pt. 1 (TY)

Tzuyu POV

I am turning 18 tomorrow. I'm incredibly excited and nervous at the same time.

You see, when someone turns 18 they receive a saying their soulmate will say to them sometime in their lives on their wrists.

Tomorrow I will receive my saying/quote. When I wake up, the saying will be printed on my wrist. I always daydreamed about who my soulmate would be.

If I'm being honest, I really wish my soulmate is Y/n. She's my best friend.

She had already received her saying about three months ago.

Y/n has always been there for me when I first transferred schools. She stopped someone from bullying me when I couldn't flawlessly pronounce English words.

She was there for me every step of the way whenever I got frustrated or gave up on something.

I have a crush on Y/n.

I've wanted to tell her my feelings but always decided against it. I mean she's the whole package and I'm just...me.

If she did somehow return my feelings then all that stood between us would be our real soulmates. Unless of course we are each other's soulmates- I highly doubt it though.

She's way out of my league.

I let out a sigh as I played with the food my mom made.

"What's wrong dear?" My mom asks me.

"Nothing mom," I pushed my vegetables around my plate.

"Sweetie, I can tell you're upset about something. Does this perhaps have anything to do with tomorrow?" My mom raised her eyebrow.

I bit my lip and looked at her, "I'm scared mommy. What if my soulmate is someone who hates me now? What if no one ever says what is written on my wrist? What if my soulmate is someone who deserves more than me? What if-"

"Sweetie. Anyone would be lucky to have you, I went exactly through what you're going through now when I was your age." My mom calmed me down.

"Really?" I looked at her hopefully.

"Just have faith, dear." My mom softly smiled at me.

"Saranghae mommy," I brightly smiled back.

She chuckled, "I love you too."

"When is dad supposed to be back from his business trip?" I asked as I ate a spoonful of vegetables.

"I believe two days from now," She answered.

I visibly deflated, "He's going to miss my birthday?"

"You know he wishes he can be here," my mom sympathized.

I nodded my head as we continued to eat in silence.

12:00am

I woke up as I heard my phone ding. I exhaustingly grabbed it from my nightstand and checked it.

"Happy birthday babygirl! 🎂🎉🎈- Y/n"

Despite my haziness, I grinned.

I texted her back, "Did you stay up just to text me that?"

"Of course! I wanted to be the first one to tell you."

I chuckled, "I feel special."

"You are special, you're one of a kind 😘 "

I blushed, "Thank you ❤️ "
