Decisions to be Made (Part 1)

*Y/n's POV*

It was seven o'clock in the morning and Y/n was having a bit of a crisis. Y/n didn't like the idea of having to do a spark bond. She still didn't understand what it was at all. All she knew about it, from what she told about it, was that spark bonding was when two Cybertronions would meld their sparks together in which to a sense become one. To be able to share their thoughts, feelings, and be able to talk to each other over great distances. To her, it just sound like remarrying someone. She wasn't ready to remarry anyone. So for the rest of the month she does her best to avoid Megatron. Times passes and it was soon Christmas Eve. By that time, Y/n managed to get all the cats and kittens to their new families or foster homes until they are ready to be adopted. She was busy getting her house decorated when she gets a call from her father. Turns our he still wanted to meet Megatron, mainly to see what the fuss was all about. Y/n ends up working up the courage to go see her father, so he could meet Megatron. Y/n pulls out her phone and gives Megatron a call.

"Now isn't this a surprise," said Megatron when he picks up the call on his end. "Normally I'm the one to call if something comes up."

"My father wants to meet you today. Figures it would be best to see the man who is giving his daughter trouble," said Y/n.

Megatron couldn't help but laugh. "Sounds to me like you are nervous my dear."

"I'm not nervous. The last guy I brought to my dad to see was Rodney and it didn't go over very well. Promise me you'll be on your best behavior, Megatron."

"Can't promise anything but I'll do my best."

"I'm heading over there now. I'll see you when get there. Let me give you the address first." Y/n tells Megatron how to get to her father's house before hanging up the phone. "Kids get ready to go see grandpa!" Y/n yells down the hallway from her room.

"We're leaving now? Why?" Eric asks as he steps out of his room, struggling a little to get a sweater over his head. "I thought we'd be going later today?"

"There's been a slight change of plans."

"Grandpa wants to meet Megatron, doesn't he? Why don't you two just start dating. That way there's no hassle."

"Eric, Megatron is the dean at Primus University and I'm a teacher. Our relationship could cause a problem. Besides I don't think it will work out."

"One: He saved your life from Cryotek. Two: He helped you on numerous occasions at the animal shelter. Three: He helped you out by picking up Megan and I from school and taking us to school as well. So by this point you've known him for at least four months or more since you started teaching at Primus University during the summer. Which might I add summer school stinks by the way. So at this point, your students would have started some kind of rumors at the University," said Eric.

Y/n stares blankly at her son for a few minutes, trying to process what he had just told her. "You do have a point." She walks up to Eric and boops him on the nose. "Also quite being so nosy, okay?" She kisses Eric on his forehead. "I know you have your reasons to be nosy but Megatron won't be like Rodney, okay? Now let's get going. Go check on your sister and see if she is ready."

"Should we bring Millie?" Eric asks.

"Speaking of Millie, where is she?"

"Last I had seen her, she was in Megan's room."

"Oh no," said Y/n with a laugh.

"I bet you ten dollars that she put Millie in the Santa outfit," said Eric before he goes to Megan's room. He knocks on the door. "Megan we are leaving for grandpa's soon. We are bringing Millie with us."

Megan comes out of her room with Millie, the three-legged cat, who was in an elf costume. "She let me put her in it," said Megan.

Both Y/n and Eric laugh. "Looks like we lost the bet then," said Y/n. "Megan we thought you would put Millie in the Santa costume this year.

"Millie said she didn't like it. So I put her in the elf costume."

"Let's go then." Y/n head downstairs and opens the front door. She was shocked to see Megatron standing at her front door. His car was parked in the driveway. "Why are you here? I thought you'd meet us at my dad's house?"

"Thought it would be better if we both go that way it won't seem as good of a first impression if I were to show up later," said Megatron.

"You do have a point about that," said Y/n. "Excuse me." She steps by Megatron and waits until Eric and Megan, who had the cat named Millie in her arms, before she shuts and locks the door. "The party be until around two or three o'clock."

"Its not much of a party. Its more of a family get-together. We eat first then open gifts. We celebrate with grandpa on Christmas Eve since it's easier for everyone to get together," said Eric as he makes his way to his mom's car.

*Megatron's POV*

"Are you sure your exhusband won't try anything, Y/n?" Megatron asks.

"He can try but he won't get very far. My dad will literally throw him out the door if he has too," said Y/n.

Megatron watched Y/n help Megan get into the car. I don't want to force a sparkbond on her but it needs to be done soon. We both need each other even though neither one of us will admit it to our faces. I can't even say "I love you" to her. She shouldn't have to bare the burden of being a single mother any longer, Megatron thinks to himself. After about a three hour long drive, Megatron and the others arrive at Y/n fathers house. Megatron was the first out of the car as soon as it pulled to a stop in the driveway. He walks around to the drivers side and opens the door for Y/n. "Hopefully I'll have a good first impression with your father, Y/n."

"We'll see if he like you then," said Y/n. She goes and helps Megan out of the car. She sets Millie down on the ground, who immediately runs up to the front door of the house. Y/n laughs. "Millie knows she'll be getting treats here soon.

After a few minutes, Y/n's father, Alan, opens the front door. "The cat had the common courtesy to knock," said Nate with a laugh.

"Millie knows she's getting treats, dad," said Y/n.

"Why is she in an elf costume?"

"Megan was the one who put her in it." Y/n walks up to her father and hugs him. "I know its a ways away, but Merry Christmas, dad."

"Merry Christmas to you too as well, sweetie." Alan let's go of his daughter, looks around her and sees Megatron. "And who is this?"

"Dad, this is Megatron. He's the dean at Primus University back in Paradise Falls. He's the one who hired me for the teaching position as well as the one who saved my life."

"Did he now?" Alan walks up to Megatron and gives him a hard long look. Despite the fact that Nate was a foot and a half shorter than Megatron, he didn't let himself get intimidated. "So you are the one who nearly gave me a heart attack saying my daughter was at death's door back on Halloween?" He looks Megatron dead in the eye. "If it wasn't for you, my daughter would have died. Thank you for saving her life, Megatron. Now how about we head on inside. The rest of Y/n's family will be joining shortly."

Megatron watches Nate head inside, followed by Megan and Eric. He let's go of s breathe didn't know he was holding in. "Your dad is scary, Y/n."

"He can be intimidating but he has his reasons. I'm sure my family will tell you about my life, including the embarrassing moments as well," said Y/n before she heads inside.

"I'm not ready for this." Megatron follows shortly after, not knowing what lies ahead.
