Picking up the Pieces (Part 4)

*Megatron's POV*

Megatron walks past more of the trees with the pompom like flowers. He decided to take a closer look at the trees. The trees had zen-like leaves. He takes a closer look at the leaves. They looked like little fluff balls. Megatron looks up to the tops of the trees and sees the flowers in various colors. They ranged from quite a few shades of pink, even flesh colored pink to red colored flowers. Even white flowers on the tops of some of the trees. "Now I want to know what of trees these are," said Megatron. He notices a path leading off into the trees and decides to follow it. It soon leads to a clearing surrounded by more trees. This time wysteria trees. "Why are there flowering trees?" It didn't take too much longer to find Y/n and Dinobot seated beneath one of the trees.

Megatron stays within the line of trees, forgetting the fact that he was told that Y/n wouldn't see or hear him. But that didn't mean he didn't want to take a chance with Dinobot. He tries to read Y/n's lips, to see what she was telling Dinobot but Megatron couldn't figure it out. After what felt like hours, Megatron begins to notice both Y/n and Dinobot begin to shimmer and flicker. Soon even his own vision goes dark.

Megatron wakes up to Taranchulas shaking his shoulders. "Finally you are awake. You were dug in like a tick. Thought you were never going to wake up," said Taranchulas.

"Where's Y/n?" Megatron asks.

"She had just woken up before you. The Protoform accepted Dinobot's new spark and it should be done reformatting by tomorrow night. As for right now, make sure Y/n gets home safe. While you were out cold, I had just received a notice that Cryotek was in the area. Most likely looking for Y/n. Don't try anything rash and remember to think before you act. Rather not have Y/n die on us. She's helped us out quite a bit."

Megatron pushes himself off of the gurney and stretches out his muscles. "I'll make sure she gets home safe."

*Y/n's POV*

It was a quiet drive home for Y/n. Right as Megatron pulls into the driveway of her home, she decides to break the silence. "You need to mind your own business, Megatron," said Y/n.

"What do you mean, Y/n?"

"Taranchulas told me what you did. I'm glad you didn't try anything but never do that again. I knew something didn't feel right in my dream. Something was out of place. Kinda like you know something is there but isn't there at the same time." Y/n unbuckled her seatbelts and was about to get out of the car before Megatron stops her by grabbing her wrist. "Let go of me."

"Look I'm sorry, okay. My curiosity got the better of me. I promise I won't do anything like that ever again." Megatron lets go of Y/n's wrist.

"Just let me know how Dinobot is doing in the morning," said Y/n before she leaves and heads inside her house.

Megatron watches her head inside. He felt the tug at his spark again. Not from a forced spark bond but from the bond that was forming between them, like it should have been in the beginning. Megatron acts fast before he loses his opportunity.

Right when Y/n was inside her home, she checks her phone. She had ten missed calls and ten missed text messages, all from Eric. "Somethings not right. Usually Eric doesn't spam my phone like this unless its an emergency. I better see what voice mails he left me." Y/n unlocks her phone and checks the messages.

First text message: Megan ran away from dads place. Her and dad's fake wife got into a fight.

Second text message: Dad's fake wife just threatened me to go find Megan or else she will tan my hide.

The rest of the texts messages where all the same. Y/n was finally able to listen to the voice mail.

Hi, mom. Just calling to let you know that Megan and I will be leaving early *sound of breaking glass in the background and swearing* Dad's fake wife was drinking too much at the party here so I'll be bringing Megan home myself. *sounds of footsteps getting closer* Give me that phone you ungrateful brat!!!! *phone call disconnects*

Y/n drops her phone in shock. "Megatron better still be here." Y/n runs back outside, hurriedly locking the door behind her right as Megatron was about to pull out of the driveway. Y/n whistles to get his attention.

Megatron gets out of his car. He could tell by just looking at Y/n's eyes that something was wrong. "What happened?"

"I need you to fly ne to my ex-husband's house so I can break Michelle's neck!"

"Calm down and tell me what happen."

Y/n pulls out her phone and shows Megatron the voicemail. After listening to the voice mail, a deep growl was heard coming from Megatron.

Megatron quickly changes to his Dragon Mode. "Climb on and hold tight. We don't have time for a leisurely flight this time."

Y/n holds on for dear life when she feels Megatron kick off from the ground. She was worried about her kids. Something like this never happened. Even when she and Rodney divorced, nothing like this has happened. It didn't take long for them to find Rodney's house, with the help of Y/n yelling directions to Megatron.

Megatron lands in the front of Rodney's house. He helps Y/n get off of his back before changing to his Robot Mode. He had a feeling he may need to scare some sense into some people.

Y/n runs up to the front door and pounds on the door. "Rodney you better open this door right now or I'll have Megatron burn this place to the ground!!" Y/n continues to pound on the door before it opens. Rodney was now standing at the door.

"What seems to be the problem, Y/n?" Rodney asks casually.

"No joking around, Rodney! Where are my kids?!"

"Your kids? You mean our kids," said Rodney.

"Not after the voicemail I got from Eric. After I get them I'm making sure you never can see them again because of what Michelle did."

"What do you mean? I've been asleep after the kids opened their Christmas gifts."

Y/n pulls out her phone and plays the voicemail over the speaker. She sees the color drain from Rodney's face. "Where's Michelle, Rodney? I'm going to put her in her place."

"I'm not sure where she's at. Last I remember is her saying she was going to take Megan and Eric to get pizza."

Megatron steps towards the house. "You better start telling the truth, Rodney. You've caused Y/n enough pain already," growls Megatron.

Y/n grabs Rodney by the front of his shirt and pulls him close, looking him dead in the eye. "Where are they? Where are the kids?"

"I don't know. It's kinda fuzzy. Around the time the kids where opening their gifts, there was a knock at the door. Michelle goes to answer it. A few minutes later, she comes into the living room and says it was nothing to worry about. I ask who it was and she said it was a guy in a blue suit. After that she fixes us all some hot chocolate. I remeber taking one drink from mine and feeling dizzy. After that nothing much is remembered, only bits and pieces. I remeber hearing Megan screaming and Eric yelling."

"Did you say a man in a blue suit?" Y/n asks.

Rodney nods his head. "Yeah. He didn't come inside the house though."

Y/n let's go of Rodney. "All I can say is that Michelle is as good as dead."

"What do you mean?" Rodney asks.

"Michelle was talking to Cryotek. He is the one that poisoned me and nearly killed me. Because of Michelle and her stupidity, he made off with the kids!"

"Y/n, I'm taking you back to the lab. Taranchulas will keep you safe there. I'll go deal with Cryotek," said Megatron as the changes back to his Beast Mode. He looks at Rodney. "We'll deal with you later." Megatron waits for Y/n to climb onto his back befor taking flight.
