Picking up the Pieces (Part 2)

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n slowly opens her eyes and looks around. She finds herself in a barren landscape, a wasteland. Trees were barren of leaves. Bushes dotted the landscape, barren of leaves as well. Y/n takes a step forward, her bare feet touching dry and cracked dirt. Small dust clouds fly up with each step. "Where am I?"

Y/n walks over to one of the trees. "Lily...." She hears the voice again. "Hello? Is anyone here?" She follows the source of the voice. After what seemed like an eternity, walking through a dense grove of barren trees, Y/n comes across a line figure standing in front of a dried up lake bed. "Who are you?"

The lone figure turns around to face Y/n. He had a sad look in his amber colored eyes. He was tall with short white hair, which looked like it was recently cut. His shirt and jeans were torn. "Lily?"

Y/n shakes her head. "No I am not Lily. Lily is doing fine. She's taking it one day at a time," said Y/n. "Who are you?"

"I'm..I don't remember what happened."

"Do you remember your name?"

"My name....is Dinobot. Where's Lily?" Dinobot gets more agitated. His eyes turns red.

Before her Dinobot transforms into his Beast Mode then to his Robot Mode. He rushed towards her and stops only inches from her face. "I know you are angry over what happened. But getting angry won't get you anywhere. I don't know how I got here but I can help you," said Y/n.

"Help me! Help me?! How can you help me when I am stuck in this place!"

"I'm not sure how to tell you but Megatron and Taranchulas plan on bringing you back to life. Lily needs you back in her life."

Dinobot bares his sharp dentra at Y/n, growling at her. "What makes you think that you know what kind of pain I had to deal with being gone with her?"

"I can't believe I doing this..." Y/n takes off her shirt, she had an undershirt on underneath. "I nearly died at the hands of Cryotek because of energon poisoning. Because of what Megatron did to save my life, I'm stuck with these," said Y/n pointing to the scales covered her shoulders down to her wrists.

Dinobot touches the scales on her right shoulder, his sharp digits scraping against the scales. "You endured so much."

"Just like you. I know the pain you are going through. I had my heart broken by someone I loved. I suffered though the heartbreak." Y/n pulls her shirt back on.

"Why are you doing this for me?" Dinobot asks.

"Because of hope. Its hope that will make it so your spark will bond to the Protoform. Its hope that will make it so can go back to Lily," said Y/n.

*Megatron's POV*

Megatron slowly opens his eyes. There was no longer a bright light in the room. He sees the container that once held the spark, shatterd on the ground. Y/n was kneeling on the floor, tears falling from her eyes. In her hands was Dinobot's spark. She was holding a spark. Megatron couldn't believe it. Y/n was holding her a spark and nothing happened. "Y/n?" Both he and Taranchulas cautiously step towards Y/n.

Taranchulas kneels down next to Y/n who continued to cry. "You shouldn't have done that. You could have died. Now let me take that spark from you before it disapates." He takes the spark from Y/n. "What happened, Y/n?"

"The container was about to fall off of the table," Y/n wipes the tears from her eyes. "I caught it before it hit the floor and after that I don't know what had happened. There was a bright flash of light and I found myself in a wasteland. I found Dinobot. You guys are in for a treat when his spark reformats the Protoform," said Y/n.

Megatron gives Y/n a confused look. "Your saying you somehow seen Dinobot? You didn't get sick from holding his spark, did you?" Megatron puts the palm of his hand on Y/n's forehead. "I don't feel a fever."

"She's lucky she didn't go blind from the bright light," said Taranchulas. "Go take Y/n home. I'll need to make another container to hold Dinobot's spark. She can come back later and help out," Taranchulas looks Y/n dead in the eye. "As long as she doesn't touch the spark again!"

Megatron leads Y/n out of the lab. "You still shouldn't have touched that spark. It wasn't going to disappear right when it hits the floor. It was very risky what you did."

"How was I supposed to know. You didn't tell me not to touch that spark before you both left the lab. Why is it the need-to-know information is never told beforehand," said Y/n.

*Y/n's POV*

It was five o'clock in the morning. Y/n was at home, trying to get to sleep. She had to get up in the morning to back to the lab and help out. But with the insomnia she was dealing with, it was making her hard to fall asleep. She reaches over to her nightstand and grabs her phone. She texts Megatron.

Can't sleep. My insomnia is really bad right now, Y/n texts Megatron.

Its five in the morning! How can you not be asleep?!, Megatron texted back.

I still blame you for this!

How is this my fault?!

How dense can you be?! Because of your blood you idiot!

Y/n. Don't make me come over there...

You'll what?! Go take a cold shower. Tell Taranchulas I'll be in later today. After that, Y/n puts her phone on silent so that way she could at least try to get some sleep and not hear her phone ring off of the hook. "Might as well take a sleep aid. Can't afford to fall asleep behind the wheel if I have to drive anywhere else other than to Primus University." She goes to the bathroom and takes a pill bottle out of the medicine cabinet. "Its still Megatron's fault!" She takes one of the pills and goes back to bed. After thirty minutes, Y/n finally falls asleep.
