*Megatron's POV*
Once inside Nate's house, Megatron takes his coat off and hangs it up on the coat rack. He takes a look at his surroundings. The walls were a faux-wood style paneling. Pictures hung up on the wall. The one closest to Megatron, hanging by the door, was a picture of a little girl in a red dress with polka dots. She had long h/c hair. She was holding in her hands a rather large opalized fossile of an ammonite. He glances around at the other pictures hanging on the walls. Most of them were of the little girl, which by now Megatron figured out it was Y/n when she was a little kid. He takes a glance at the living room, where a few people had gathered besides Y/n, Eric, Megan, and Alan. Megatron takes a step into the living room and all eyes were on Megatron.
"Megatron I'd like to you to meet my brother, Draven, and his wife, Tina. The live up in South Dakota, near the Badlands," said Alan.
"Nice to meet you both," said Megatron. This feels kinda awkward, he thinks to himself. Megatron sits down in one of the unoccupied chairs next to Y/n.
"So what brings you here, Megatron?" Draven asks.
"Y/n thought it would be a good idea to meet the family."
"So your the one who saved Y/n's life," said Tina.
Megatron takes a quick glance at Tina before he was noticed. He didn't like either Draven or Tina. Just sitting in the same room with them didn't settle well with him. He looks over at Y/n and could tell even she was a bit unsettled as well.
The next four hours were the longest hours Megatron had to ever endure. He didn't talk a lot since he mostly listened to what everyone was talking about. But he did pay extra attention to anything that was said about Y/n. It was about two o'clock in the afternoon when two more guests arrived. Megatron paid them no heed except for a polite introduction. All he knew about the two newer people who arrived were that they were an aunt and uncle from Y/n mom's side of the family. He waited patiently until all the guests left the living room to go into the dining room to eat the lunch that Nate had made, with some of Y/n's help. He stops Y/n before she goes into the kitchen. "Is it just me or does Draven and Tina make things unsettled?"
"No it's not just you. My uncle Draven and Aunt Tina aren't the best people. Not going to repeat what they told me since they could be listening in right now, let's just say they said some pretty rude things to me around the time I had first started dating Rodney." Y/n heads into the kitchen.
*Y/n's POV*
Fifteen minutes later, everyone was still eating good food and having a good time. Y/n was busy telling story's about the students and the class she teaches. You could feel how the atmosphere felt around everyone, it was happy, that was until one person spoke.
"So when are you going to have another kid?" Tina asks. "I mean one of your own. Not some runt you decided to adopt."
Both Y/n and Eric stare daggers at Tina. Y/n had warned Megatron, before meeting the family, at how Tina can be.
"Do you really have to bring that up now, Tina?" Y/n asks, a slight growl to her voice.
"Draven and I are just curious to know. I mean you bring him to meet the family," said Tina as she gestures to Megatron, who sat across the table next to Y/n. "Are you two even officially dating? How long have you been seeing each other?"
"You're killing the mood, Tina," said Alan.
"I'm not killing anything, Alan. Besides Draven and I just want to know when we will be expecting another addition to the family."
Y/n calmly sets her silverware down on the table and gets up from her chair. She points towards the direction of the front door. "Out."
"Sorry dearie, what did you say?" At this point Tina was just working her way on ticking Y/n off and it was working.
"OUT!!!" Y/n yells, raising her voice, causing the few glasses on the table to rattle from the sudden outburst. "I've tired being nice this holiday season. All you do, in one way or another, is start fights within the family or with family we don't get to see too often in the year. Leave now or I'll throw you out in the snow!"
"Fine I'll leave," said Tina. She gets up from the table and leaves the kitchen. "I hope the next kid you have is a miscarriage!" After that all that was heard was the front door slamming closed.
Draven laughs at what Tina says. "Sad to see old wounds opened up, am I right, Y/n?" Draven asks with a smirk.
Megatron puts his hand on Y/n's shoulder before the next move she made was one to be regretted.
"Draven I think it's best if you leave. You've overstayed your welcome with this family. I never want to see you or your wife ever again. And I hope you both rot in hell for your actions," said Alan.
Draven gets up from the table and leaves the kitchen. "Y/n is a slut!' He yells before leaving.
Y/n was vivid. She was mad at Tina and Draven both. "I want to go beat them to a bloody pulp," said Y/n.
"No, Y/n," said Alan. "They both will get what they deserve. They will be written out of the will as well. I know we are all tired of their actions."
After everyone else was done eating, they all go into the living room to open presents. Megatron and Y/n stay behind in the kitchen.
"Are you going to be okay, Y/n?" Megatron asks.
Y/n remains silent before shaking her head no. "Its like this every year."
"I'm so sorry I didn't know that you had a miscarriage."
"You didn't ask. I don't like talking about it so drop it."
Megatron watches Y/n leave the kitchen. He could tell that, even without a spark bond, that the mere mention of losing a child, she was still grieving over the fact it happened. He heads into the living room and sits down next to Y/n on the couch. Hs watches everyone else open their gifts. "Its going to be okay, Y/n."
"I hope you are right, Megatron," said Y/n as she opens one of the gifts that were given to her by her father. Unbeknownst to Y/n, her life was about to take a turn but not for the worst, this time.
