*two months later*
*Megatron's POV*

It had been two months now and everyone was settled at the new house. Y/n was taking a break from teaching, much to her student's disappointment, since she felt the stress was getting too much to her. Y/n was still working at the animal shelter but with Tarn's help, she was able to not worry as much. With Tarn being tbe equivalent of a living lie detector, nearly all the adoptions at the shelter have gone to good families. As for the ones who got turned away, whether Tarn heard a lie in their voice as to why they wanted to adopt an animal or Tarn heard evil intent in their voice, Tarn scared them off and guarded the shelters the night the bad applicants got turned away in case they came back to lay seige.

Megatron's had just left the jewelry store. He decided to buy a ring rather than try to make one. He planned on making the actual wedding ring. One, the idea of, would come from the spark. He heads to Optimus Primal's house. Megatron pulls up into the driveway and sees that Optimus Primal's car was parked in the garage. "I see that Rattrap and Cheetor have finally moved out. That only leaves Rhinox and Optimus Primal who live in the house still."

Megatron walka up the sidewalk to the front door. He looks over next door and sees Lily's home. He sees that Lily had planted a garden up front. "I'm glad she's doing better now that Dinobot is back in her life." Megan knocks on the door of Optimus Primal's house.

After a few minutes, Optimus opens the door. "Megatron? What beings you here? I was not expecting you to visit today."

"I know we had a bit of a rough history but I'm here to ask for your help again. No I'm not going to drag you into another one of my battles. What this is, is a more pressing matter. A battle all its own." Megatron reaches into his pocket and pulls out the ring box. He opens it and shows Optimus the ring. It was a engagement ring with a gold band. There was a black, purple, and white diamond set into the band.

"Come in and we will talk. I've got a feeling you will have a lot to say," said Optimus Primal. He steps aside so Megatron could come into his home.

"I've noticed that Rattrap and Cheetor have moved out. Must be strange not having them around."

"It is. Cheetor felt it was time to move out. Said he's not a kid anymore and felt it would be best to get his own place. As for Rattrap, he was planning on moving out back before Dinobot died. He said he got bored being at this house since Dinobot is happier now. Speaking of which, Dinobot and Lily are getting married here in the next couple of months."

"That's good to hear." Megatron makes his way to the living room and sits down on the couch.

"So now what brings you here?" Optimus asks as he sits down across from Megatron.

"I would like some advice on asking Y/n to marry me. Sounds kinda silly of an old warlord like me asking someone like you for help," said Megatron as he laughs weakly as he puts the ring box back into his pocket.

"It's not a weakness to ask someone for help, Megatron. It's taken you this long to realize that because of Y/n. How did you get her to fall for you?"

"It happened over time. We didn't get along in the beginning but over time we did. It wasn't until we got to the Islands that we had a chance to seal the bond between us."

"Just be the person that Y/n fell in love with. Not the grouchy dragon but the one who put his life on tbe line to save her. Still I'm greatful you came here asking for my advice."

"Thank you, my old friend. I'll let you know how things go," said Megatron before he leaves.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n was at home dishes in the kitchen. She could tell that Megatron was on his way home. Their bond between them has strengthened over time but it was yet to be as strong as a bondmate's bond. But little did she know, that day will come soon enough for Y/n. She sets the newly washed dishes in the drain board and goes outside to wait for Megatron. Y/n didn't have to wait for very long before Megatron's car pulls up in the driveway. As soon as Megatron was out of his car, Y/n runs up and hugs him. "I wasn't expecting you to be back until later. Plus you did hide your bond with me for a bit. Why?" Y/n tries to give Megatron an angry look but only ends up making him laugh.

"You know you're cute when you are angry but I do have my reasons as so why I hid our bind for a short time. I didn't want you to find out," said Megatron.

"Find out what?" Y/n asks.

Megatron pulls out the ring box from his pocket and opens ir, revealing the ring inside. "I know we have a lot to plan for our lives together and we did talk about this at one point." Megatron gets down on one knee. "Y/n will you marry me?"

Y/n doesn't even hesitate with her answer. "Yes I will!" Y/n squeaks with joy. She tackles Megatron, knocking them both to the ground, peppering him with kisses.

"Okay I get it. I love you too my dear. Now get off of me so I can give you the ring."

Y/n gets off of Megatron and pulls him to his feet.

Megatron takes the ring out of the box and places it on Y/n's ring finger on her left hand. "It had taken me a bit to decide on the engagement ring but the actual wedding ring I'll be making myself."

"Megatron you don't have to make the ring for me."

"The wedding ring should be chosen from the heart but in our case, our spark. It going to take time to make it and time is what we have." Megatron pulls Y/n into his embrace, picking her off of the ground. "Besides I think it would be fun to make the ring. Plus I know someone who could help so it won't break." Megatron kisses Y/n, savoring the moment they shared together.
