We pulled up to the house, and I felt as if I was going to throw up. We got out of the car, and walked up to the house. We entered the house and I took in my surroundings, the people there, what they were drinking, parties aren’t really my scene. “Come on have fun.” Abby said, pulling me into the house and to the drink table. It wasn’t too bad, Abby poured herself some alcohol and I got myself some punch. I never let Abby out of my sight. I was fine until I saw Jack, I went to Abby, who was dancing with some guy, and told her he was here, all she said was to go talk to him. It was a dead give away she was drunk.
I walked back over to where I was, then Jack came over to me. “Well, well, well, look who's here.” Jack said as he came closer to me, he was taller than me, although most people were; he had short black hair, and brown eyes. “Yea, I'm here.” I said not really wanting to talk. “Well, it’s just surprising that someone actually got you out of your house on a friday night.” He said, “Who’s party is this anyway?” I said, kind of upset the question hasn’t been answered. “My friend’s.” Jack said, referring to Rick Sanchez, Jack’s best friend. “Let me guess, Abby brought you here?”
“How did you know?” I was shocked that he got it right.
“Because we dated for three years, and you really look like you don’t want to be here.” I sighed and nodded my head. I’ll admit it was kinda nice having someone to talk to that wouldn't only talk about what they wanted to. “You look nice.”
“ Thanks,” I said, kind of confused, I wear things like this all the time, or is it just the makeup Abby did. He looked at me again then at the stairs. Rick came down the stairs and stood beside Jack. “Hey Emma, long time no talk.” he said he acted drunk but I knew he wasn’t. “You saw me in math class Rick” I said really not wanting to talk.
I always got a weird vibe from Rick. He has always had a little crush on me, he was jealous I was dating Jack. Although I never really thought anything of it. We carried on a conversation then Jack left with some other people. Leaving me alone with Rick, I took a sip of my drink. Looking around while I thought of a way to get away from him.
I couldn’t think of anything, I looked around for Abby, I finally found her, but she was heading upstairs with some guy. Great, I looked around for Jack, I finally found him and walked towards him. He saw me coming, and got a worried look on his face, “ Hey, are you okay?” Jack may be my ex, but he still cares for me. “ Yea I’m fine just got bored, and Abby is upstairs with some guy.” I managed to say.
“Who leaves their best friend at a party alone, especially you, No offence.” Jack said, showing his protective side. “None taken” I said I looked around and realised I had to go to the bathroom, “Where’s the bathroom at?” I asked. Jack showed me and I locked the door. After I was done, I washed my hands, I opened the door and saw Rick standing at the door, staring at me.
I smiled and tried to move past him to go find Jack. He put his hand on my shoulder, and his eyes went from caring, to evil, and enraged. I didn’t know what was going to happen, but I Knew I shouldn't have come. “I need to go find Jack.” I said in a shaky breath, coming up with multiple scenarios. I tried to leave yet again and his smile faded, “You’re not going anywhere.” he said, his eyes glued on me. “Other people need to use the bathroom,” I said trying to reason with him. Hoping he would let me leave.
