I got out of bed Tuesday morning, remembering how Emma smiled a little more day by day. Maybe she’s getting better. I got ready for school, dressed in a grey t-shirt and jeans. I ate breakfast quickly rushing to school excited to see Emma.
I got out of my car walking through the doors. I went to my locker, which was beside Emma’s. “Hey.” I said putting my books from the night before in my locker. “Hey.” She said, She was dressed in a white top with a black skirt, jacket, and scarf, with black boots. She’s back. I thought to myself. We went through our day, same as usual. Creating small talk at lunch, we talked until we left for the class we had after lunch. I sat by Emma throughout the day, which was my normal seat anyway. “Are you okay?” I asked. “Yea, why?”
“Oh, I don’t know, probably because you killed someone, and went through hell the past few months.” She smirked a little. “Yea, well, I’m fine. Just thinking.”
“About what?” I asked resting my elbows on the desk “Nothing, yet everything.” she said, causing me to get confused. “Emma.” the teacher said.
“They want you in the office.” she said. Emma nodded and got up. Leaving me with no other option but to actually act like I care about these people. Thankfully she returned a few minutes later, grabbing her stuff and walking out again. She wasn’t at school the rest of the day.I went home wanting to find out why she left, but not wanting to sound nosey. I texted her to see why she left. She said her mom wanted her, Emma, and Lily to have a girls day. I started on homework, sitting on my bed, which is a bad idea, I always fall asleep.
Which is what happened this time as well. Next thing I know, it’s dinner time. I ate quickly, grabbing my stuff and putting them on my desk. I finished the homework I started, but fell asleep doing it.Once I had finally finished the homework I went to take a shower, then straight to bed.
