Around seven-thirty I went to Rick’s house to snoop around, looking for clues. I spent a few minutes looking around. “You really need to stop looking.” Rick said, startling me. I turned around and he walked closer to me. “I told you, I don’t have her. I have talked to who does have her, but not in person, it was over text.” He said, I already knew everything he said was a lie. Her scent is on his shirt. That was his mistake. “If the last time you saw Emma was the night of the party, then Why do you have her scent on your shirt?” I said getting closer to him.
I noticed the grass on his shoes as he looked down. “Were you at the secret house we found when we were kids?”
“No, why would you assume that?”
“Why else would you have grass on your shoes, and I know you still go there. Besides, I remember the way it had a certain smell.”
“My car broke down trying to get here, I was by some woods and decided to take a walk to try and get a signal to try and get help.” He said, I didn’t believe him, he knows how to fix a car. But why lie? “You don’t believe me, do you?”“Not really.” I sighed, “Why not?” he said stepping closer to me.
“If you're telling the truth, then why does your shirt have her scent on it.” I said, starting to get annoyed. “I told you-” “ I know what you told me, that isn’t the point why does your shirt have her scent on it.”
“Okay fine, I saw her earlier today, she was drunk, she threw herself at me.”
“Mhm and how do you explain the cuts, and scratch marks on your face, and neck?” I said watching his body language.I heard him mumble something under his breath, I heard what he said and knew I was right. “Did I hit a nerve?”
“You really think I would kidnap your lover? Did you get the picture, I was told to send it to you.” he said. “I never asked for the picture, or a video, or anything. I just want her back, and to find out who the hell took her.” I said, raising my voice a little.“If you want, I’ll take you there tomorrow.”
“Why just so you’ll have time to move her again. I go with or without you, today. Right now.” I said, “Fine, just one more thing”
“what” he hit me with something, and everything went black.
