When I came to, I slowly got up and walked quickly to my car. I remembered where the house was, I was speeding but didn’t care. Emma needed me. Once I got there I parked the car and jumped out. I went to open the door, once I was inside I went to the closest room I could. I walked in and saw Rick with a gun to Emma’s head. She was shaking, and crying, I hated seeing her in pain.

“Look who finally decided to join us,” Rick said. I saw how nervous and scared she was, she didn’t make eye contact. “You don’t have to do this. Just let her go, and maybe we can talk.” I said trying to reason with him. “Shut the door.” I did as he said. He then told me to sit down. He threw Emma into the wall, closest by the door, she whimpered. “Lock it.” She did. I saw how bad she was shaking. Poor Em. how much pain and suffering did she go through. I didn’t know what was going to happen, but we all knew he was in control. I noticed bruises all over her face and arms.

“Since you’re here, let’s have some fun.” he said, ''I saw Emma starting to get worried, she started shaking her head. Rick noticed and looked at Emma. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you babygirl, huh, the both of us at once.” He said sending chills down our spines. She didn’t answer.
“I asked you a question bitch!” he yelled pointing the gun at her. She flinched, and jumped back. “S-sorry,” she said, shaking. “Look at this, how can you live with her attitude, and lies.” he said, raising his voice making Emma petrified as he walked over to her. “Why are you doing this?” I said hoping he wouldn't do anything stupid.

“Shut up!” he said pointing the gun at me. “I do what I want.”
“All this can be avoided if you just let her go. She did nothing to you.” I said still trying to reason with him. Emma is right by the door, why won’t she just leave?

“You wanna know the real Emma Dawson? She did this to me, for trying to help her get away from the person who kidnapped her.”
I looked at Emma, she made quick eye contact, then looked back down. Was she ashamed? Was she scared of me? What did he tell her?

“Enough of your bullshit, you kidnapped her. you’ve lied to me. And you're trying to make it out to be her fault. It isn’t. You were just jealous.” I said standing up.  “You gave her up, so I had my chance to get her and I took it.”  he said, my blood boiling by this point.

“WHAT DO YOU EVEN WANT HER FOR, YOUR OWN SICK PERSONAL SEXUAL  DESIRES!” I practically yelled. “Maybe I do, maybe I don’t. And you never answered my question” He said looking at Emma. “ANSWER ME!” he said, causing her to stumble backwards, until she hit the wall. “She doesn’t have to do anything you say”

“You want both of us, admit it, You look at us the same way.” “more like the other way around.” I heard Emma mumble. “What was that?” he said, getting angry. “Nothing” she said only loud enough for us both to hear. “You think you can say whatever you want?” he said, reaching for something behind him.  “No” she said quietly “DON’T LIE TO ME, BITCH” He said as he threw his knife at her. “WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING” I said quickly

Thankfully she ducked, but didn’t get back up. “Now you wanna  tempt me.” He said as he practically ran over to her, grabbing her by her hair. “Rick STOP IT.” I said interfering causing him to drop the gun, “LET HER GO,”  I said. I got him away from her. I pushed Emma out of the way. He threw a punch, before I knew it, we were fighting. The fight went to the ground, with Rick on top of me.

I heard a gunshot. Rick stopped hitting me. And stopped moving. I looked over and saw Emma shaking, with the gun in her hands. “I-I didn’t mean to,” she said, cowering in the corner. I pushed him off me. “You did what you had to do, It’s not your fault” I said walking over to her, trying to catch my breath.
“Karma’s a bitch.” She said. “I know,” I said, reaching my hand out, for her to take so I could help her up. “Thanks.” she said as she stood up.  I took the gun from her. “Wait, there’s something I need to get.” She said, She went over to the wall in the corner, I saw a video recorder, and my heart broke. She grabbed the flash drive and the camera, we walked outside, and I helped her in the car and got in. We started driving, I wanted to ask her many questions, but didn’t want to push her.

“Is he still alive?” she asked “Don’t worry about it,” I said in a soft voice to try and help calm her down. She nodded her head. “When was the last time you ate, or slept?” I asked, realizing how exhausted she looked.

“When was the night of the party?” she asked. I sighed, “I’m going to stop and get you food, then I’ll take you to the hospital.”  She tensed up “Do I have to go?” she said quickly like she was scared to go to the hospital. ” I nodded  “How long have I been there?” she asked, not really looking forward to the answer. “Two weeks.” she looked down then out the window. It was maybe eight at night. “Why don’t you get some rest.” she nodded and started getting comfortable.
