I walked out of the bathroom after showering then changing into a pair of leggings and a t-shirt quietly, Jack sadly noticing me. I just want to disappear, to be invisible. I sat on the bed, sort of nervous, I saw Jack zoned out. “What are you thinking about?” I asked, getting a little worried. “Nothing.” He said quickly.
“Don’t lie to me.” I said not giving up. He hesitated for a moment. “I don’t want you to get worried. But Rick’s parents came up to me at the store, and said He was missing, and that if I saw him tell him to call them.”
I wanted to turn myself in. I felt extremely guilty for what I had done.“Don’t beat yourself up alright, it was self defence.” He said, “Maybe but, you’re not the one who killed someone, I am” I said slowly getting angry. “You’re right, We need to get going soon.” he said “They want to keep me overnight.” I said quietly. We soon fell asleep.
