I was playing a game in my room, when my mom came in and sad Rick’s parents wanted to talk to me,
“Hey, jack”
“Hi.” I said nervously. “We figured you might know who killed my son, and we are having the funeral next saturday. December 28th. Can you come?”
“Yea. I’ll be there.”
“Do you know who killed him?”
“Didn’t the police tell you what happened?”
“They did, just not who the girl was, or who killed him.”
“I can’t say.” I said, They left.*******
Today was the day of the funeral. I got dressed in a back suit. I didn’t really know why I was going. We got to the cemetery, I stood in the back wanting to keep my distance. I mean, he was my friend but he hurt the one person I cared about.
Once the service was over I greeted them, “Jack thank you for coming.”
“It’s no problem. I know this is difficult. I nodded and walked away.
I went to the park, mainly to relax. Around three in the afternoon, I decided to head home. “Hey, how was it?” My mom asked as I went to my room. “Fine.” I said before shutting the door. I called Emma to see if she was okay.
“Hello?” she answered. “Hey, are you okay?”
“I’m fine, don’t worry about me.” she said. “It’s impossible not to.”
“I got to go.” she said quickly hanging up.When dinner rolled around, I quickly ate then went to sleep.
