Linda Reagan snuggled closer to her husband as the morning sun filtered through the windows. She listened to his beating heart, wishing they could stay like that forever. But they had to get on with the day. Her husband needed to go to work, and she had to take the kids to school.
The alarm rang and her husband stirred, growling. "Is it morning already?"
Linda laughed softly, "unfortunately." She kissed his cheek and swung her legs over the side of the bed. "Come on, Danny. You don't want to be late."
"Five more minutes," Danny rolled onto his side.
"Fine. But if you're not down by quarter of, I'm sending in the troops."
"Sure..."
The blonde smirked and rolled her eyes good naturedly. She picked out her favorite jean skirt and a short sleeve shirt. She slipped on some high heels and clicked her way to the boys' rooms. She knocked before opening the door.
"I thought you two were supposed to be getting dressed?"
"We're trying!" Her eldest, Jack, laughed as he and Sean tumbled about on the bed, wrestling with each other.
"Stop trying, and start doing, okay?"
"Okay, Mom," they detangled themselves and stood, walking to the dressers.
Linda smiled and made her way downstairs. She put on a fresh pot of coffee, watching it percolate for a little bit. She lightly hummed to herself as she heard the boys bounding down the stairs. She had set out muffins, bananas, and yogurt for their breakfast, along with orange juice in the boys' favorite cups. They may be seven and nine years old, but that didn't mean they were too old to have favorite cups.
Linda walked to the bottom of the stairs, five minutes had passed fifteen minutes ago. "Come on, Danny!"
The detective stumbled towards the stairs, sleepily tying his tie. "You don't have to yell. Have a little patience."
"Look who's talking." Linda mumbled as she saw his tonsils while he yawned. "Coffee's hot."
"Good."
Linda smiled again, it was mornings like these she loved. Sean and Jack were ready for school to start, eager to learn new things. Then there was her husband, dragging himself out of bed, speaking in grumbles and mumbles until he got his coffee. She poured him a cup, then handed it to him, "careful, it's-"
Danny took a big sip, immediately regretting downing the hot liquid.
"Hot."
"Thanks for the warning." He answered sarcastically.
Linda looked to the boys, who were pretty much done with their breakfast. "Don't forget to brush your teeth."
"Yes, Mom," they answered, mouths full of the last bite. They raced each other up to the bathroom, laughing all the way.
Linda sighed, "remember when we had that much energy?"
"And last night was...?" Danny wondered, sauntering up behind her. He wrapped his arms around her, nipping her ear, "you telling me that wasn't energetic? That I'm running outta gas?" He bit her neck, where he had left a mark last night.
She grinned, "you were a Texaco station, okay?"
The detective transferred the grip on her neck from his lips to his teeth, getting a groan from his wife. He felt her tip her head, her muscles relaxing. He moved one of his hands to her stomach, rubbing circles on the fabric of her pink shirt. He moved his hand down to the front of her jean skirt, rubbing her through the rough fabric.
Linda's lip moved between her teeth, a small mewl reverberating in the back of her throat. She knew they had at least five minutes, which meant she would be left wanting so much more. She felt her jean skirt being pulled up, the hem resting right at her hips.
Danny easily maneuvered his fingers on the absence of the jean fabric, "Linda, you're not wearing any underwear! You tease." He started moving his fingers up and down, all while leaving another mark on her neck.
"Danny...."
"Shh...." he inserted a finger, loving the moan that came from her throat. He was about to insert another finger when they heard footsteps on the stairs.
Quickly, Linda pulled her skirt down, smoothing her hands over the wrinkles. She watched as Danny stuck his finger in his mouth, sucking off her juices. She bit the inside of her cheek, holding her breath.
"Ready, Mom?" Jack wondered, entering the kitchen.
"Huh? Yeah, here." She gave him the keys, "go on ahead, I'll be there in a sec."
"Bye, Dad," Jack hugged him, Sean following.
"Bye, kids. Have fun."
"We will, bye!" They waved and walked to the car, oblivious to their parents escapades.
Linda whimpered, "you're really mean, you know? Now I have to wait till I get home to take care of myself."
It was Danny's turn to moan, "maybe I can get away for lunch, see if I can help?" His lips met hers sweetly, until he felt her tongue sneak out and probe his lips. He opened his mouth, her tongue shooting into his mouth. The steamy kiss was cut short when Danny's phone rang.
"Jackie. Probably calling to tell me I'm late."
Linda smiled, "I gotta get going to, can't be late for school."
"That'd be bad."
"Mhmm." She kissed his cheek, "Love you."
"Love you more."
"Love you most. Bye."
"See ya." They both headed out the door and into their respective cars.
