Linda stretched her arms over her head as she laid on her back in bed. She was thankful that she had quit her job to be a stay at home mother. After her husband had returned home from Fallujah, she figured being home would be best. The boys were old enough to participate in all sorts of sports, meaning they needed a parent to bus them to and from, hither and yon. The first few months of being home found Linda Reagan extremely antsy. She'd sign up for whatever the kids' class needed: snacks, chaperones, car pools. The house hadn't been as clean as it was now in years. She was still adjusting, but she was happy that they could live with one salary; happy that she could be more apart of her only babies' lives- the babies she worked so hard for. She was so lost in thought, she hadn't noticed her husband wake up next to her. She smiled when she felt his lips on her cheek.
"Morning, gorgeous."
"Hello, handsome."
Danny smiled at their morning greeting. It had started on the last day of their honeymoon. Lovingly, he kissed her and murmured his greeting. She responded with as much love in her greeting. Since then, it had been a mandatory (and loving!) greeting. "You okay?"
"Of course. Why?" She turned her head towards him.
"You seem distant. Everything alright?"
Linda smiled, "I was just thinkin' 'bout life over the past months. I'm really glad I can do things with Jack and Sean."
"But....?" Danny heard the wanting-to-say-more pause
"But I kinda miss the ER. I really liked it there. I was head of the floor."
"Very impressive. Very impressive." He mumbled, eyes still closed.
She smirked, turning on her side to face him. "Y'know, you're really cute when you're groggy."
Danny smiled and kissed her lips sweetly. It quickly grew in passion, and soon he had his body atop hers, crushing her body into the mattress.
"Mama! I'm hungry!" Sean called through the closed door.
Linda groaned, resting her hand against her husband's chest. "Rain check?"
"Definitely." He rolled to his back, Linda on top of him.
"I'll be right down, Sean!"
"Okay, Mommy!" Sean smiled, contended he got his way.
Linda sighed and kissed Danny's lips again. She felt Danny tighten his arms around her, slipping his tongue into her mouth. She moaned, melting into his embrace. She surprised him by sucking at his bottom lip, receiving a low, growl-like moan.
Danny fisted her shirt, tipping his head back as she kissed her way down his neck. His hands moved beneath her shirt, then between her undies and skin. He grabbed her ass, lightly digging his fingers into the skin.
Linda moaned sensuously, repeating the moan when she felt him stir against her. She sucked at his pulse point, feeling it quicken beneath her lips. She rubbed his bare chest as she kissed his neck and nibbled his ear. Her hand danced at the band of his sweatpants, teasing him.
Danny shifted enough to pull Linda's shirt above her head. He lightly moaned when her exposed skin touched his. He felt her fingers slip into the band of his underwear. His breath hitched in anticipation; wanting, needing his wife. She was so close, so close to making his morning a thousand times better.
"Mama! Come on!" Jack yelled through the door. "Me an' Sean are hungry!"
Linda groaned, "okay, okay! I'm coming!"
"For real?"
She chuckled, "for real this time." Before she rolled off her husband, she gave him a squeeze. She quickly slid out of bed and into the walk in closet.
"You're mean!"
Linda laughed, taking a shirt off the rack. She liked the new change in her life; in the back of her head, she really wanted to go back. Possibly when the kids were older, but right now.... right now she was happy with her calm life style.
