I was making my way towards Slater since I didn't see Benny anywhere , he told me he was going to come look for me after talking to pink . Maybe he's mad and needs to cool off .
" Hey man " I said as I reached Slater , Pickford was laying on top of his car and Michelle was playing the guitar .
" You finally came" Slater said passing me the joint
" I did as promised " I took a hit passing it to Pickford who had a smirk on his face looking at me up and down . I turned my head looking at Michelle who was giving me a glare while playing her guitar .
" Do you guys know what that song's about? It's about aliens " I looked over at Pickford
" We're the aliens, man. We're the savages. We're the savages " he went on saying .
" Wait, man. That song's about that? " I said laughing
" Yeah, man, that song's about that " Slater said and I nodded .
" You didn't know that? This country is founded... It was founded by people who were into aliens, man. George Washington, man, he was in a cult, and the cult was into aliens, man " I started to laugh not understanding anything at all right now .
" You didn't know that? " Slater said turning to me " no man but I bet they were hiding something " I said and he nodded agreeing with me .
" George toked weed, man " I said laughing I turned my head looking around finally seeing Benny .
"Absolutely George toked weed , He grew fields of that stuff, man. That's what I'm talkin' about. He grew that shit up in Mount Vernon, man " Slater was invested in this and I couldn't find Benny anymore , I was to distracted .
" George would come home, she'd have a big, fat bowl waiting for him, man, when he'd come in " I looked back up at Slater realizing he was still going on about this .
" You're boy Benny went in the woods with some chick " I looked over at Pickford realizing what he said .
" She was real cool too. She'd harvest the crops. That's what I'm talkin' about. She'd put in, um, bushels and stuff and sell it, you know? Because they had to, you know, make ends meet and stuff " Slaters voice was distracting .
" What , are you sure ? " I asked Pickford
" Yeah man I just saw them " he pointed over to the trees . I turned to look thinking I could spot Benny
" You sure ? " I asked once again not wanting to believe him .
" He's not lying " I turned to Michelle , surprised she even said a word to me
" oh uh okay " I said wondering if that chick was Leanne .
" I mean, did you ever look at a dollar bill, man? There's some spooky stuff goin' on on a dollar bill" Slater said
" It's green too " Pickford said passing me the joint. I took a long hit because I felt like I needed it , Benny wouldn't be with her right ? He wouldn't fuck up what we had going on this fast I thought to myself .
" Go look for him " Pickford said noticing how quiet I became
" I'm to scared " I told him passing the joint to Slater playing with the lighter in my hand .
" I wouldn't go check it's probably raunchy back there " Slater said not helping .
" You suck at giving advice " I said shaking my head , should I go take a look maybe it wasn't even Benny maybe it was someone else .
" I'm going to split , going to check if it was Benny" I said handing Pickford the lighter
" Good luck " he said before I turned around making my way to where Pickford pointed . I was walking slowly and my heart was beating fast , I paused for a second . Did I want to know ? and if It was true he was with her what do I do ?
" Hey Luna where you going " I turned to Melvin who was walking towards me .
" Going to find Benny " I said and he looked uneasy
" Luna just stay with me let me get you a beer " he said and my heart broke , I knew he was hiding something .
" Mel I'm going to find Benny " I said and kept walking as I reached the tree
" Who put the keg way out here in the woods? " I heard Benny's voice
" Hmm, I don't know " I'm guessing that's Leanne , I tried to watch my step not trying to step on a branch .
" This is just where they told me it would be " she said once again .
"Oh, yeah? " Benny said , I had a clear view and I watched her get closer to him .
" Yeah. I don't think we need beer anyway. " she put her arms on his chest and kissed him and the worst part is he kissed her back . I turned around holding my tears in as I heard her speak again
" Don't you have a girlfriend? " I stopped walking
" Fuck , what am I doing " I heard Benny say and I let a tear slip . I made my way out the woods quietly hoping they didn't here me .
" What were you doin' back there? " I looked up meeting Don's eyes , standing next to him was Pink and Melvin . I quickly wiped a few tears that were building up , I didn't want to cry that would be pathetic .
" I had to pee " I said laughing hoping they bought it and I guess they did because they started laughing except Melvin . A frown found his face knowing what was going on .
" You okay tho ? " Melvin said patting my back
" I'm fucking amazing " I said smiling back at him .
" That's my girl ! " Pink said putting his arm around me and I could feel Don's eyes on me . I turned to look at him and he could tell something was up .
" Look at your boy. Look at your boy " Melvin said grabbing Pink's attention
" Kramer! " Don called out for Mitch who was sitting on the hood of a car with Julie .
" Yeah, you, you! Freshman, right here " Don said making Mitch look at us confused
" Come on " Don said and I'll I could think about is how stupid I was to think Benny would like me .
" Right here, buddy " Melvin called out and Mitch just waved at us .
" He waves at us , what is this wave shit ? " Don said .
" Freshman, over here " they kept calling him and he finally started walking towards us saying bye to Julie .
" Over here. Now. Come on. Come on, come on, come on " Don and Melvin said
" He's like a little Casanova" I said finally speaking up , catching their attention
" It's amazing " Don said and I just laughed .
" Look at that shit-eatin' grin on his face " Melvin said as Don put his hand on Mitch's shoulder .
" Not bad for a freshman, but you better watch out for them older girls " Pink said making me laugh .
" Hey, hey, hey, come here. We just wanna know somethin', okay? Are you gonna be fuckin' that later, or are you gonna be a little wimp? " eww these idiots I thought to myself .
" How do you know I haven't already? " we all started laughing this time .
" Oh, yeah! Get outta here. I think it's past your bedtime " I said putting my arm around Pinks waist making him look down at me and smile .
  "Run along " Melvin said taking a sip from his beer " Come here " Pink said to Mitch
" Why don't you go get a ride with her? Say we left ya. It will work "  Mitch shook his head smiling
  " It will work " I said making Pink laugh .
" Go " Pink said making Mitch turn around
" Hey, Kramer, show it to her " Don said
"Give it to her , go boy ! " both Pink and Melvin called out .
" Wow that kid is going to get some before me " I said turning to the guys
" Oooh I have feeling Benny is going to get lucky tonight " Don said winking at me . Melvin stayed silent while pink chuckled .
" Man fuck Benny , I was stupid to trust him " I said Pink and Don gave each other a confused look .
" What happened Luna ? " Pink said
" Let's just say we should've stayed friends " I said looking up at Pink .
" Where even is he " Don said looking around trying to find him
" Melvin knows " I said and they all turned to him .
" C'mom let's go find Wooderson " I said and started walking ahead leaving the guys behind .
