Dazed and confused - (Benny/Pink)

He like's someone else

I felt the sun hit my eyes as I woke up from my slumber. I looked at the clock on my desk that read 11:15, I rubbed my eyes and heard the phone ring from downstairs. I ran down and quickly picked up the phone
" Hello " I said almost out of breathe.
"Hello baby" I felt butterflies in my stomach hearing Benny's voice on the other line
    " Hi Benny " I said with a huge smile on my face.
"How'd it go with you're parents ?" I said leaning on the wall
      "Not to bad just going to have to work at my old man's shop during the summer " he said, his dad owned a mechanic shop so it wouldn't be to bad on Benny.
" It could be worse " I said laughing
"What you doing today ? " he said and I realized yesterday I promised Jodie to go over her house at 3 today.
" Going to hang at Jodie's house around 3 but after that I'm free" I said
   " Well how about we hangout after that ? " he said and I was happy he asked.
     " Yeah I'd like that , see ya at my house around 4:30 " I said and he agreed. I ended up hanging up the phone and went back upstairs to take a shower.

I took one last look in the mirror as I headed out the door. I got in my bug and made my way to Jodie's house, I wonder if Shavonne was going to be there and if she was I was not in the mood to talk to her. I turned my radio on and Slow ride by Foghat started playing. I passed by Pickford's house since we lived so close to each other, I could see his parents packing up some stuff outside. I wonder if they were actually going to leave this time so Pickford can throw his party, a few blocks later I arrived at Jodie's house. The sun was brighter today and it really did feel like summer now , I got of my car and walked towards her house knocking on the door.
" Luna ! Dear come in " Mrs.Kramer opened the door letting me in
" Hi ! How are you ? Jodie invited me over " I said as she closed the door.
" Yes she told me last night , I'm good sweetie ! She's in her room " she said smiling and I nodded turning around making my way towards her room. As I was walking I noticed Mitch in his bed listening to music , I wonder what time he got home
" Mitch " I said half whispering making his eyes open. I walked in as he sat up
" How'd it go last night huh ? " I said smirking
" Oh you don't want to know " he said making me laugh a bit.
       " I'm guessing good then " I smiled at him
" What about you ? how's Pink ? " he said
    " What do you mean ? " I said giving him a weird look.
    "Well I heard him talking about you with Wooderson " he said and I chuckled
"I guess you heard he likes me" I said sighing .
        "I like Benny so Pink and I are just never going to happen " I said making it clear and he nodded
     " I'm going to find Jodie" I said getting up walking towards the door.
    " Just don't tell Pink I know " I said turning to him
" I won't " he said sending me a smile as I walked out his room closing the door.
     " Hey" I said entering Jodie's room seeing her and Kaye smoking a blunt on her bed
   " We thought you weren't going to come !" Jodie said as I sat on the bed.
" We'll I'm here " I said laughing
        " Wait so what happened after we left ? " Kaye said as she sat up
" It's a bit of a blur but me and Benny ended up working things out " I said as Kaye offered me the joint but I declined.
      " Good ! cause it's meant to be " Jodie said
" Yeah it was basically O'Bannion's fault , he spiked Benny's drink " I said rolling my eyes
     " Why am I not surprised " Kaye said
" He's a dick , but I didn't tell you guys what happened yesterday at the moon tower " Jodie said and me and Kaye looked at her waiting for her to spill.
" Does it have to do with a certain guy ? " Kaye said
    " yesssss" Jodie said grinning
" who ! " I said wondering who it could be , I mean the only guy she's been flirting with is pink but apparently he likes me.
     " I made out with Pink " she said and me and Kaye looked at each other confused
    " You know he has a girlfriend right ? " Kaye said looking at Jodie
" I know I reminded him actually " she said laughing . I didn't know what to say it's just kinda fucked up
    " I heard he likes someone else, and it's not you " Kaye said and I quickly looked away from them
   " Who ? " Jodie said
" I don't know I just heard someone talking about it yesterday " she said.
     " Jodie I don't think you should get you're hopes up, Pink and Simone left to Houston with Wooderson and Slater to get the Aerosmith tickets this morning " I said trying to change the convo a bit
     "You see ! Pink is just messing around with you , it's clear to see he doesn't know what or who he wants" Kaye said.
            " Let's just forget about it " Jodie said obviously upset about what we said
       " Where's Shavonne ?" Jodie said turning to me
" More like with who " I said smirking.

    I really hope this virus goes away ! It's super scary . Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, I'm not sure how far to go with this book.........
