Dazed and confused - (Benny/Pink)

A little bit of reefer I smell on you

We made it down almost falling since I missed a step on the ladder
" I'm never climbing that thing again " I said pointing at the guys .
" I hear that " Mitch said agreeing with me
" Luna you sure you don't want smoke this doobie with us " Slater said
" Hmm I was considering it but maybe later I promised you already " I said
" alright man well be back later " Slater said as Pickford and Mitch followed going to smoke as well . Me and Pink started walking back trying to find Benny and the rest of the guys
" there they are " he said pointing to Benny and Don leaning on wooderson's car
" What took you so long " Benny said as I approached them .
" You looked a bit busy with that chick Leanne " I said sitting on the hood of the car next to Benny
" Luna you're the only one I care about , Melvin invited them up I swear " Benny said and I looked towards him .
" I believe you , it's just you guys fucked " I said and it got real silent
" It was a long time ago " Benny said moving to stand in between my legs .
" What y'all did it " don said surprised
" shut up that was like sophomore year , I think this girl is just jealous " Benny said and I just rolled my eyes
" whatever " I said trying to stop myself from smiling , Benny started tickling me and kissing my cheeks making me laugh .
" I only want you " he said whispering in my ear
" Alright cut it out we're still here " Don said and pink laughed
" That a little bit of reefer I smell on you, boy? " Don turned to pink .
" Coach is right , You're running with that bad crowd again. You've got an attitude adjustment you've gotta make right now " Don continued with this speech that I felt like I've heard all day long
" Like I'm the only athlete at this fuckin' party" pink said pointing at Benny and Don
" Coach is right, Don. Those guys don't care if we win or lose , Just remember that " Benny said
" I mean that's cause there not into football like you guys are so you can't blame them " Benny turned to me I could tell he was upset by my comment . "Check this out " Don said trying to change the subject walking towards the keg
" Watch this, watch me get this beer. Watch. Oh, no, it's the cops! Look! Look, look, look, look! " Don said making everyone run the other way .
" It was so easy " he said laughing
" He needs another drink , you know, bad " pink said as Benny put his arm around him pushing him towards the keg and turning towards me .
" I know you're mad or whatever " I said looking at him
" I can't be mad at you , but you have to understand where I'm coming from " Benny said leaning back on the car .
" I do I promise , it's just that you don't even know what pink wants that's on him not the guys he hangs with " I told Benny looking at him
" you can't say there a bad influence cause If that was the case then you're a bad influence on me " I said making Benny laugh
" Oh yeah ! " Benny said hugging me
" mmh just don't blame them, somethings just change " I told Benny placing my hand on his cheek and he nodded .
" I'm going to go find Jodie okay ? " I said getting down from the car
" you're leaving me again " Benny said holding my hand
" You need to talk to pink and figure things out babe " I told Benny as he looked towards Don and pink by the keg .
" Alright , I'll come find you once I'm done " he said looking down at me giving me a kiss
" okay cause I want more of that " I said looking in his eyes .
" Oh yeah ? You really got me thinking if I should save that talk with pink another day " he said and I started laughing
" go ! " I said pecking his lips one more time and he smiled turning around walking towards the guys . I made my way around trying to find the girls and I spotted Mitch walking around high as hell
   " you good kid " I said patting him on the back
" haha yeah have you seen Julie " he said looking around with a smile on his face
   " there she is " I said as she was coming towards us. " Hey, Mitch! " she said looking at him then back at me .
" Hi. Wonderin' if you were around here " Mitch said looking up at her
    " Hi luna right ? " she said turning to me
" the one and only " I said flipping my hair dramatically making them laugh .
     " I'm going to go find Jodie ! I'll see you guys around " I said turning around seeing Benny and pink in his truck talking .  I finally spotted Jodie leaning against one of the guys cars talking to Kaye and Cynthia .
" hey girls " I said as I approached them
" hey where have you been " Kaye said
" been hanging with the guys " I said leaning on the car by Cynthia
" Mhmm how did it go with Benny ? " Jodie said sipping on her beer
" oh yeah I forgot to tell you about that , what did you even talk to him about inside the emporium ? " I said looking over at her
" I just told him to get his priorities straight or else he'll loose the chance to be with you " Jodie said
" oh yeah and I heard Don talking to him earlier today so I think that helped him realize what he was missing " I nodded
" So are you guys official or something ? " Kaye said looking at me .
" No we aren't , I guess we'll just see where things go right ? " I said looking up at them
" yeah I mean you guys were friends before this just let it play out " Jodie said turning to the rest of the girls and they agreed .
" Yeah I'm just going to keep it chill " I said looking over , seeing pink making his way towards us
" ladies " pink said walking over to Jodie
" how'd it go with Benny ? " I said
" well he's mad " he said shaking his head
" I'll go talk to him in a bit " I said sending Pink a smile . They continued talking about whatever , I was a bit distracted trying to see where Benny was
" It's like the every-other-decade theory, you know? The '50s were boring, the '60s rocked, and the '70s... Oh, my God, they obviously suck. Maybe the '80s will be radical " I turned to Cynthia who was on a rant .
" You know? I figure we'll be in our 20s and, hey, it can't get any worse " she said I let out a laugh .
" I kinda like my life right now " I turned to them smiling
" I'm with you " pink said agreeing with me . I looked to my right spotting Slater with the rest of the guys .
" hey I'll see ya later I'm going to talk to slater real quick " I said turning around as they said bye .
