Dazed and confused - (Benny/Pink)

Benny

" It's 2 o'clock " Steve said as I grabbed my bag underneath the counter.
" If you want me to work another hour I would gladly say yes " I said, I really was scared to talk to Benny but he's still my best friend even after all that happened.
" You trying to avoid him " Steve pointed to Benny who was leaning on the wall smoking a cigarette.
" Yeah man I'm a little confused on how I feel at the moment " I said sighing.
" Well I've always seen you with him, best friend ? " Steve asked.
     " He was but like we started dating and it didn't go as well as we planned" I said.
    " Well I think you know what you gotta do, now go you can't keep him waiting" he said and I nodded heading out the door.
        " Check ya later " I said walking out the door, turning back to make sure it closed. I turned to my right seeing Benny throw his cigarette on the floor before crushing it with his boots.
     " So " I said feeling my heart beating fast, I can't fake it I still feel some type of way for Benny. I have never felt the way I do with some other guy and the fact that I still have Pink in the back of my head isn't helping me figure out what I want.
      " Do you want to go in my truck and talk ? Or we can go in you're car " he said as he tucked his hands in his front pockets, I can tell he was anxious as well.
     " Yours is fine " I said and he nodded. We walked towards his truck and he opened the door for me. I waited for him to get in and once he did I never felt so scared.
        " Look I just wanted to talk and clear up some things" he said, I could feel him looking at me but I didn't want make eye contact because of how nervous I was.
      " Benny " I said not knowing how to tell him.
  " Yeah ? " he said.
" I kissed Pink last night " I said finally looking up at him. His face dropped I could tell he's upset, not angry but sad
      " I'm not surprised " he said his elbow resting on the steering wheel as he faced me. I turned my body to face him as well
       " I mean I asked you Luna " he said and I nodded.
" I know and I'm sorry ! I kissed him in anger of what you did to me Benny. But I'm just so confused now " I said.
" I'm sorry I hurt you Luna, from the begging I've been a jealous asshole, and just hearing that rumor that you kissed Pink made me angry. But that's no excuse ! I never should've called that girl up " he said being genuine.
" I know thank you for apologizing " I said grabbing his hand.
      " I don't know what to do Benny " I said as he played with my fingers. Me and Benny haven't been this calm in a long time, felt like old times
      " Do you like Pink Luna ? " he said and I genuinely don't know.
       " I don't know Benny a part of me thinks I do but the other says it was just lingering feelings we've held on for so long" I looked up at him and he fixed his blue hat, I laughed at how much he loved that hat
    " What so funny ? We're having a serious conversation " he smiled back at me, what a goof.
        " You just love that hat don't you " I said taking it and putting it on. He laughed
      " Fuck I think you might need to keep it since it looks better on you " he said and I started laughing hanging him back his hat.
     " Promise you won't start a brawl with Pink " I said.
    " Promise " he said and I smiled, it was like when we were just best friends super chill.
      " I kinda knew you still had a thing for him when I asked you, I know you reassured me you didn't but that's one of the reasons I was so jealous. I was scared I was going to loose you and I did" he said and I felt my heart drop.
            " I'm sorry Benny I didn't know I was going to feel this way about him ever again, but you'll never loose me ! I just need to figure it out " I said sighing.
    " I'll be here, you're still my girl to me " he said and I smiled. I began getting off the car feeling as this conversation has come to an end
      " Call me when you make up you're mind doll " he said and I nodded leaning in and kissing him on the cheek. I closed the door to his truck and watched him leave before quickly turning around and getting in my car. I looked at my watch 2:30
      " I'm so confused " I said not knowing what to do. I enjoyed my conversation with Benny, It went by so quickly. Seeing him so calm made me realize how I still wanted him in my life.
