   " You're boy Benny was gone man " Wooderson said as Cynthia handed him the notepad back .
    " I know , but where have you been all night ?" I asked
  " Thanks a lot, man " Mike said interrupting our conversation .
  "Hey, man, no worries " Wooderson said to Mike as they started heading there own way
  " Take care " he said and turned to Cynthia .
" Listen, I'll pick ya up tomorrow at 4:00? " wow what did I miss I thought to myself
" Okay " she said starting to walk away
" Hey. Aerosmith. Three weeks. Front-row seats, babe. " he said smacking her ass
" All right. I won't forget " she said before turning around catching up to the guys .
" Okay so what was that " i said putting my hand on Wooderson's shoulder
" I love those red heads " he said sending me a wink making me laugh .
" So, uh,  I heard about what Benny did " he said looking at me . God did everyone know , I moved my hair to side looking back at him
" So who told you ? " i said watching people start to leave .
   " Pink " he said and I shook my head
" He just doesn't want to see you get hurt Luna " he said trying to tell me Pink meant no harm by telling him what had happened .
" I know but he doesn't know the actual story " I said looking up at him
   " So what is the story ? " he said lighting up a cigarette .
" O'Bannion spiked Benny's drink " I said as I watched him take a drag of his cigarette
" Makes sense , Benny wouldn't hurt you right ? " was he asking me that or was he making me question what happened .
" I mean he was drugged , that wasn't my Benny " I said making it clear Benny wouldn't hurt me
" Luna all I'm saying is drunk actions are sober thoughts " he said offering me his cigarette. I shook my head declining it .
" I will talk to him tomorrow and figure it out , either way his drink was spiked and that's what I'll like to believe " I said trying to defend Benny
" All right but I'm here for you if everything goes down hill " he said and I felt like crying because what if it did .
" You know Pink told me not to tell you this but he has had a thing fo- " Wooderson was cut off by Pink who was making his way towards us
" Wood-a-been " he said making us turn our heads .
" Pink, my man. What's happenin'? " Wooderson said . What was he going to say ? , he looked towards me letting me know we'll continue our conversation later .
" Not a lot , Cynthia, man? " Pink said making Wooderson smile
" I like it, man. Very nice. My favorite color " he said
" Yeah? Red's a good color for you " Pink said as he turned to me .
" Hey, have you seen Jodi around? " he really liked her didn't he
   " She left with Kaye , but where's Simone huh ? " I said poking his shoulder making him laugh .
  " She left your ass man " Wooderson said being more blunt
  " Really? Well, ya win some, ya lose some " Pink said a bit disappointed .
" Is there something I missed ? " I said looking at Pink .
    " Nothing at all " he said and leaned on the car next to me .
"What about Peter Pan? " I heard Pickford say , I looked to my right noticing him Michelle , Slater and Simone coming our way .
" Hey, brother, roll it " Slater said
" What's goin' on, man? " Wooderson said looking at them .
       " Oh hey luna how'd it go with Benny huh " I rolled my eyes at Slater's question .
" I'm guessing bad " Pickford said laughing making me mad .
   " Haha shut up " I said flipping him off as the guys laughed
         " We're just messing with ya man " Slater said and I just nodded not wanting to talk about it .
" Guys, what's goin' on? " Pink said changing the subject
   " Nothing. Pickford wouldn't know. " Slater said making me look over at Pickford and Michelle . He was high as hell
   " What time is it? " Pink said and I forgot what time my mom was going to be home .
  " Let's go smoke a joint, man, on the 50-fuckin'-yard line, in honor of your daddy, Coach Conrad " Slater said making the guys laugh . Haven't they been smoking like all day ? I was tired and had to much on mind .
" We're there , Great idea " Pink said laughing shaking Slater's hand
" Hey, man with the plan " Wooderson said as everyone agreed to go
" We're going to head home , I'll see y'all later" Pickford said turning to us , Michelle was already walking ahead of him .
" Check ya later " Slater said making me laugh.
" Bye loser " I said as he came towards me
" Hmm says the one that had a crush on me" he said a smirk placed on his lips .
" You're never going to let that go huh ? " I said shaking my head
" Why didn't you ever tell me ? " he said moving a strand of hair out my face
" Pickford you're high we can talk another day " I said feeling a bit uncomfortable since his intentions weren't clear .
" Michelle is waiting on you " I said pointing towards his car
" Alright I'll see ya " he said waving bye to the guys one last time
" What was that about " Pink said standing next to me .
" I think it's the weed " I said turning to him laughing
" You coming with us ? " he said smiling
" I'll go for a bit " I said noticing Simone standing by Slater all quiet
" Do you think she's mad at me ? " I said looking at Pink .
" Who Simone , Why would she ? " he asked confused
" I almost fought her best friend " I said not trying to remember
" fuck it " Pink said making me laugh as she made her way towards us
" Hey wanna come with me ? " he said looking at her
" Okay " she said turning back to stand by Slater .
" Welp " i said , we were just cool this morning I have nothing against her
" She'll get over it " Pink said placing his
hand on my shoulder , out the corner Don and Shavonne came out his arm around her .
  " Hey. Joint subcommittee meeting on the 50-yard line in 15. You there? " Pink asked them
" Okay " he said letting go of Shavonne and pulling me to the side
    " Where is Benny ? " he asked me
   " I asked Melvin to drive him home " I said
  " bad idea , you know his dad will kill him right" Don said making me panic a bit .
   " Don ! Luna , y'all ride with me. Let's hit it " Wooderson said opening his car door
        " Fuck , I didn't think about that " I said looking at Don . I should've left with him ughhh , what am I doing here .
