After we left Haru and his dad we traveled to a near by village, not knowing that there was an evil spirit who captures villagers an store them into the spirit world, Aang went to investigate until Sokka was captured by the same spirit and vanishes, Aang too went to the spirit world but for another purpose to meet his past life Avatar Roku. Avatar Roku wanted to speak with him but during the winter solstice, long story short, Aang returns from the spirit world, gives the scary monster an acorn, and the scary monster returned the people as a thank you.
Aang tries to get Appa to move, grunting he yanks on the reins, but the bison continually refuses and sits down. "Let's go, Appa!" Aang said pulling the mammoth beast "Come on, boy!"Appa roars in protest and sits down, "Look I'm sorry, but Katara, Sokka, and Amaya aren't coming to the Fire Nation with us, if they got hurt, I'd never forgive myself," Aang said looking down sadly, " So get your big butt off the ground and let's go!" He jerks at the reins, one more time stretching them out, but is flung to the ground when the ropes pull him back as Appa doesn't move a muscle,
"I think his big butt is trying to tell ya something," Sokka said his arms crossed, Aang gasps in surprise and looks over his right to see all of the villagers including Sokka, myself, and Katara.
"Please don't go Aang." Katara begged "The world can't afford to lose you to the Fire Nation. Neither can I," "Neither can we," I joined, "Aang please, there's got to be another way," Aang looks away, and then turns his attention toward us again, " But I have to talk to Avatar Roku to find out what my vision means! I need to get to the Fire Temple before the sun sets on the solstice. That's today!" Aang says as he airbends himself atop Appa's head, As Appa stands up, We rushed towards the bison, preventing him from moving any further.
"We're not letting you go into the Fire Nation, Aang, "Katara said Aang stares curiously "At least, not without your friends. We got your back," Sokka said, "Yeah, if any fire benders want to hurt you they'll have to come through us first," I joined balling a fist. Appa licks Sokka, and I laughed as he scowled at me dripping in Appa's saliva. "It's a long journey to the Crescent Island," said the village leader as he handed Aang a small bundle, "You'll have to fly fast to have any chance of making it before sundown. Good luck,"
" Thank you for your-" "Go!" said the village leader, pointing to the ocean, Appa takes off with Aang, Momo, Katara, myself, and Sokka. A few hours later, Appa soars over the ocean. We all watch the ocean fearfully hoping that the no one would track us.
"Come on boy, we've got a long way to go. Faster!" Aang said to the beast. I turned my head and noticed a ship following us, I took a closer look then panic engulfed me, "Umm, guys was that ship always there before? " I asked.
Katara saw the ship too, "Aang. We've got trouble!"
"Yeah! And it's gaining, fast!" Sokka said with a panic, suddenly a huge fire ball is seen hurdling towards us,
"Fireball!" yelled Katara,
" I'm on it," Aang said and yanked Appa to go to the left, the scent of the soot was unbearable and I covered by face with my sleeve while the rest used their hands,
"We have to get out of Zuko's range, before he shoots another hot stinker at us!" Katara suggested.
"Can't you make Appa go any faster?" asked Sokka,
"Yeah. But there's just one little problem," Aang said as he pointed to the line of ships.
"If we fly north, we can go around the Fire Nation ships and avoid the blockade! It's the only way," Aang said,
"There's no time!" I said,
"This is exactly why I didn't want you to come! It's too dangerous!" Aang said in frustration, "And that's exactly why we're here," Katara said,
"Let's run this blockade!" Sokka said his face determined,
"Appa, yip-yip," Aang commanded and Appa roars readily, sailing forward even quicker. Suddenly the sky becomes littered with flaming fireballs fired from the blockade. We screamed in fear if getting hit. We flew directly through one that exploded before them, Appa's fur darkened from the explosion. Katara, Sokka, Momo and I all slap out embers on Appa's fur, "Appa, are you okay?" asked Aang and Appa replied with a roar and sailed higher in the clouds.
I breath a sigh of relief, it's all over now. I could feel my heart pumping non-stop in my chest, then out of the clouds fireballs burst through everywhere, we all scream and duck away, while Katara, Sokka and I grip Appa's saddle holding it on for dear life. Appa dodges many fireballs before two collide and explode in front of him, suddenly Sokka is thrown from the saddle and begins to plunge for the ocean, "Sokka!" Aang cried whips the reins down and begins a speedy descent in chase of Sokka, Appa reaches Sokka just in time, as Katara grabs his hand, pulling him back into saddle. Appa then skims the ocean surface dodging every fire ball that was hurled towards him, a fish appears out of nowhere and slaps Sokka square in the face, knocking him into the saddle. Momo then leaps up and grabs the fish as Appa continues his swift flight mere feet above the ocean. Fireballs crash into the water all around them. A single catapult launches a fire blast directly toward Appa. Aang airbends forward off of Appa's head, using a powerful airbending kick, and the flaming boulder explodes in a large smoky blast. Aang falls back to Appa's head, Katara, Sokka and I grabbing him. Appa soars safely over the blockade, passing them. "We made it!" Aang said ecstatic, "We got into the Fire Nation," Sokka said, as each of us were grimacing in terror, "Great."
Hours passed, but it was more like days, but finally we made it to the crescent shaped island, "There it is! The island where Roku's dragon took me," Aang said.
