Flash forward:
While we escape being captured by the fire nation Katara and I teaches Aang to waterbend, Katara taught some that she knows and I taught what I know, and Aang, well lets say he soaked it all up like a sponge, but this made Katara very insecure about her bending so while we were at the market we came across some pirates who stole a waterbending scroll, so being the little sneak that she is took the water bending scrolls in hopes of improving her bending. Long story short, the pirates and Zuko captured us but suddenly fought to get Aang instead and we made it out alive.
We pitched camp in the forest, as the mammoth trees with orange leaves glistened in the sunlight. Momo had scurried off to find some food, but it was not like him to be gone so long.
"Where's Momo?" Aang asked, suddenly we heard a loud screeching noise far away, we then started to look for the creature, then Aang spots Momo dangling from a tree in a cage.
"Hang on, Momo!" Aang says as he uses his airbending to fly to the top of the tree, jumping from trunk-to-trunk to get higher. He finds the traps' mechanisms, undoes them, and carefully lowers Momo to the ground where Katara and Sokka are waiting. They open the trap together and the lemur runs out with one of the lychee nuts in his mouth. When Aang lands, he looks up to see the other two animals seemingly crying out to him for help.
"All right, you too," he said as he jumps to them.
"This is gonna take forever," Sokka said as took out his boomerang and throws it to cut the animals free.
"That works," Aang said and lands on the ground. We gathered around two of the traps and Sokka kneels down to examine them, "These are Fire Nation traps," he said examining the cage, "You can tell from the metalwork. We better pack up camp, and get moving,"
We then went back to our campsite, and started to pack. While we were placing the last item on Appa's back, "Uh uh. No flying this time," Sokka said.
"What? Why wouldn't we fly?" asked Aang confused,
"Think about it: Somehow Prince Zuko and the Fire Nation keep finding us. It's because they spot Appa, he's just too noticeable,"
"You're not wrong," I said, "See, even Amaya agrees," said Sokka, putting his arm over my shoulder.
"What? Appa's not too noticeable!" argued Katara,
"He's a gigantic fluffy monster with an arrow on his head! It's kinda hard to miss him," Sokka says pointing at Appa. "Also a good point," I joined, Appa roars in protest.
"Sokka's just jealous 'cause he doesn't have an arrow," Aang says to the beast,
"I know you all wanna fly, but my instincts tell me we should play it safe this time and walk," Sokka said,
"Who made you the boss?" Katara asked, folding her arms.
" I'm not the boss, I'm the leader," Sokka said pointing to himself, I snickered, "You're the leader? But your voice still cracks!" Katara said amused by his sudden title.
"I'm the oldest, and I'm a warrior, so I'm the leader!" said Sokka, his voice cracking during the first sentence then lowering it to sound macho.
"A warrior huh, may I remind you who ambushed you while you were on Kyoshi Island, oh great 'leader'? " I questioned smirking.
"And if anyone's the leader, it's Aang. I mean he is the Avatar," Katara joined.
"Are you kidding, he's just a goofy kid!"
"He's right," Aang said, while hanging upside-down from Appa's right horn with feet sticking out in the air.
"Why do boys always think someone has to be the leader? I bet you wouldn't be so bossy if you kissed a girl," Katara said.
