The night was cold as the waves crashed against the ship. The ocean breeze whipped against my ears. How can this happen? How can Zuko turn on me and Katara like that? Rage clouded my mind like a storm cloud forming from off a distant shore, as I blew the large bangs off my face, my thoughts were interrupted by Katara giving me a bowl of broth, I politely accepted, and took the bowl. Suddenly I heard some strange noises coming from the entrance of the ship. I turned trying to see who it was, but my darn hair was blocking my vision.
" Twinkle Toes! That's got to be you!" Toph exclaimed, "Aang, you're awake!" Katara joined.
"Are you sure? I feel like I'm dreaming," Aang said rubbing his eyes, "You're not dreaming. You're finally awake," Katara replied, "It's good to see again, Aang." I said, "Amaya?" Aang said, "Yep," I said, pulling my bangs to my ears to get a good look at him. Aang looked fatigued, and a little pale, as he begins to stagger a little bit.
" Aang, good to see you back with the living, buddy!" Sokka said, hugging him in that fire nation outfit, which I specifically told him not to put on.
"Sokka?" suddenly Aang begins to breath heavily and begins to fall backwards, "Uh-oh, somebody catch him, he's going to-" I rushed over to Aang just in the nick of time.
"I told you that fire nation outfit was too much," I said.
A few minutes later Aang came too. I gave him a robe from a nearby cabin and some broth.
"Why are we on a Fire Nation ship? Why is everyone dressed this way? And why am I the only one who's completely out of it?"
" You need to take it easy, okay? You got hurt pretty bad." Katara said, "I like your hair,"
"I have hair?" Aang frantically touches his head, "How long was I out?"
"A few weeks,"
"Four, to be specific," I interjected.
"Everything okay?" asked Hakoda, Hakoda was a kind man and a skilled leader, and a good father figure to Katara and Sokka. It made me miss my own dad back on Kyoshi Island.
"We're fine, Dad," Katara said looking away annoyed.
"I'm Hakoda, Katara and Sokka's father," he said, as they both shook hands, "He knows who you are. I just called you "Dad", didn't I?" Katara said, placing her hands on Aang's shoulders stopping him. The awkward feeling was too much for me, "I'm gonna go check to see if we have more blankets, let me know if you need anything Aang," I said, of course I lied. Can you blame me? That time later we all met at the deck. I pulled my bangs back so I can see.
"After what happened at Ba Sing Se, we had to get you to safety. We flew back to Chameleon Bay where we found my father and the other Water Tribe men. The Earth King decided he wanted to travel the world in disguise, so he set off alone. Well, not completely alone. Soon, the bay was overrun by Fire Nation ships. Rather than fight them all, we captured a single ship and made it our disguise. Since then we've been traveling west. We crossed through the Serpent's Pass a few days ago. We've seen a few Fire Nation ships, but none have bothered us,"
"So what now?"
"We've been working on a modified version of the invasion plan,"
"It's Sokka's invasion plan," Katara said sharply at her father, "Yes, Sokka's plan. We won't be able to mount a massive invasion without the Earth King's armies, but the solar eclipse will still leave the Fire Nation vulnerable,"
"So we're planning a smaller invasion. Just a ragtag team of our friends and allies from around the Earth Kingdom. We already ran into Pipsqueak and The Duke,"
